300 years ago, the high king of Azelios Uriquiel Alfhare started sending angels down to earth to watch over humans. Although the reason was unknown, angels still followed his command. The high king warned about humans discovering who they really are, "If you are discovered, your wings will perish and a curse will fall upon you. You will have to kill humans and consume their heart for survival". Those were the king's absolute warning before he died and before the novaliske vanished.
2/4 of angels were turned into monsters. They were cursed and forced to eat human hearts to survive and forever hunted by humans because of it. "The more they consumed it, the more they became out of control and monstrous".
The cursed ones formed a society and now call themselves Aterians and the humans formed an organization called Terraria to exterminate every single Aterian there is.
