﹒୨𝑒 ﾟ ˖ ⠀𝙏𝙊𝙆𝙔𝙊 𝘿𝙍𝙄𝙁𝙏──𝘼𝙆𝙄𝙍𝘼

CHAPTER 1

3RD PERSON POV 

YEAR: 2030 AD

Motorbikes sped down the highway in succession, speeding past cars and into empty lanes 

"C'mon, you guys! We're gonna take highway 26 all the way over to the Old City--if you think you can keep up!" a certain - Shotaro Kaneda - called from the front of the pack, taking leadership in his bright red bike 

"Just lead the way Kaneda, we'll be right behind you" a certain - y/n l/n - said as she followed on his right on her pink and black motorcycle 

Once the group reached a highway paypoint with a No Entry sign, a couple guys got off their bikes and jogged to the paypoint using the plywood lying around to make ramps for the bikers 

"That's it! Let's go!" they called out once finished

Engines turned over on the ready to ride up the ramps 

Kaneda and y/n went ahead each taking one ramp to jump over, leading the group 

"Hey Tetsuo! Let's show these guys how it's done!" Kaneda called over his shoulder 

Tetsuo Shima - the childhood best friend of y/n and Kaneda followed after the duo 

"Trouble with you Kaneda...is you take too many chances!" Tetsuo called out 

"Trouble with you is you wanna live forever!" Kaneda replied 

The large group continued to speed down the highway before Kaneda lifted his arm out in signal to stop 

He skidded to a stop and pulled his helmet off mussing up his inky black hair 

"Looks like that's it guys. We've reached the end of the line" 

"Hey, we were just getting into it...why'd we stop?" 

"'Cause we hit a dead end, dummy. And I do mean dead" the teen bikers conversed among themselves

"This is the heart of all the destruction..." y/n mused as she pulled her goggles onto her forehead, her hair slightly fluffed up from the wind "This is where the bomb dropped" 

"Man, it gives me the creeps thinking of all the people who died here" A biker spoke up 

"We must have made a wrong turn. Let's go back and try again" another said 

"What's the big hurry? You scared of the dark?" Kaneda taunted and y/n snickered as she peered over the edge 

"There'll be some changes made here pretty soon. I hear this is where they want to hold next year's Olympics" 

"You're kidding, right?" Kaneda questioned 

"That's what I heard...tell him Tetsuo" 

"Me--? It's the truth Kaneda. They already started work on it. A bunch of old buildings and stuff have been torn down already" 

"I thought you meant it would be held in the crater.." y/n trailed off 

"Why would they do that?" Kaneda looked at her and she shrugged 

"I dunno. Memories?" 

"What are we hanging around this dump for anyway" Yamagata questioned 

"No reason. C'mon, we're outta here!" Kaneda yelled out to the rest of the Capsules 

"I'm hungry" y/n said as she threw her leg over her bike and adjusted her goggles "Last one to Harukiya picks up the check!" she challenged as she turned her engine over and quickly sped out the rest of the gang following her with Kaneda at her side
