☆Juliette's POV☆

"Hermione, I don't know how you could be so interested in that guy"

"He's amazing I can't believe we have him as a professor!"

"He's never actually done the things in his books"

"Yes, he has!"

"I've met him and I'm telling you as your best friend he hasn't" Hermione just scoffed before going back to her book, after a little while of silence Harry and Ron showed up.

"Hello," I said coldly, I was still mad at them for the car incident.

"Hey Julie," Ron said sitting down, almost on cue the owls started flying in. All of a sudden something large and gray fell into Hermione's jug, spraying them all with milk and feathers.

"Errol!" said Ron, pulling the bedraggled owl out by the feet. Errol slumped, unconscious, onto the table, his legs in the air and a damp red envelope in his beak.

"Oh, no -" Ron gasped.

"It's all right, he's still alive," said Hermione, prodding Errol gently with the tip of her finger.

"I don't think Errol is what he's worried about," I said pointing at the envelope known as a Howler. I scooted away from it in case it exploded.

"What's the matter?" said Harry.

"She's - she's sent me a Howler," said Ron faintly.

"You'd better open it, Ron," I said. "If you don't - " I looked at it worriedly, while Harry just stared at Ron, and I confused

"What's a Howler?" he asked as it started to smoke

"You're about to find out," I said scooting back farther "Ron open it before it explodes!" Ron stretched out a shaking hand, eased the envelope from Errol's beak, and slit it open. I covered my ears as the letter flew up.

"STEALING THE CAR, I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SURPRISED IF THEY'D EXPELLED YOU, YOU WAIT TILL I GET HOLD OF YOU, I DON'T SUPPOSE YOU STOPPED TO THINK WHAT YOUR FATHER AND I WENT THROUGH WHEN WE SAW IT WAS GONE -" Mrs. Weasley's yells filled the room everyone was watching the Howler that was making the whole room shake.

"- LETTER FROM DUMBLEDORE LAST NIGHT, I THOUGHT YOUR FATHER WOULD DIE OF SHAME, WE DIDN'T BRING YOU UP TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS, YOU AND HARRY COULD BOTH HAVE DIED -" Both Harry and Ron slid down in their chairs trying not to be seen.

"-ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED - YOUR FATHER'S FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK, IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT AND IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT BACK HOME." A ringing silence fell. The red envelope burst into flames and curled into ashes. Everyone just stared at Ron and Harry who were pretty much sitting under the table at this point. Hermione and I just smiled both knowing they deserved the embarrassment. After a moment, a couple of people laughed before going back to their conversations.

"Well, I don't know what you expected, Ron, but you -" Hermione started

"Don't tell me I deserved it," snapped Ron.

"I'll tell you, you deserved it," I said smiling as Ron got up and started eating again.

Professor McGonagall then started handing out course schedules. My first class of the day was Herbology with Hufflepuff so after breakfast Harry, Ron, Hermione, and I left the castle together, crossed the vegetable patch, and made for the greenhouses, where the magical plants were kept.

After the events of the Howler Hermione was much more friendly thinking, they got what they deserved, and I agreed that plus the detention they would have been enough. As they neared the greenhouses, they saw the rest of the class standing outside, waiting for Professor Sprout.
