The white van stopped in front of the pond lit by moonlight. The back doors opened and a woman stepped out. Her arms were suspended in a straightjacket bodysuit and she glided over to the edge of the pond with light footsteps.
A man popped out of the van as well, he was dressed in a sort of uniform. He cornered the woman to the pond and pulled a taser from his pocket, raising it at the hesitant woman. She yelped quietly and turned to the pond. It took her a moment, but she then jumped into the pond. She sank immediately.
Your eyes opened in a panic. Your lungs were filled with liquid, but you felt fine. You were floating on a body of water, looking up at the starry sky. You drifted ashore and sat on the sand for a moment as the water cascaded out of your mouth like a waterfall.
You were freed from your usual attire, instead now wearing an old-timey white blouse tied with an f/c ribbon, a tight dark skirt that went down to your knees, and no shoes.
Standing up, you look around. The lush green surroundings of the pond were vibrant and teeming with life. Towering trees loomed overhead, their branches swaying gently in the night breeze.
The moonlight filtered through the leaves, casting a silver glow over the scene. Fireflies danced in the air, their tiny lights flickering like stars fallen from the sky.
As you walked along the pond's edge, the grass beneath your bare feet was cool and damp. Dewdrops clung to the blades, glistening like diamonds in the moonlight.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, their fragrances mingling together to create a symphony for your senses. In the distance, you could hear the soft rustle of wildlife moving through the underbrush.
A symphony of crickets sang out of sight but in earshot as you wandered between the shoreline and the edge of the woods. After a while, you came across a light coming from the forest.
The light piqued your curiosity, making you make a detour into the wood. A cabin stood proudly amidst the trees, its wooden exterior blending seamlessly with its surroundings.
A warm light spilt out from its windows, inviting and comforting. The roof was slanted cut logs, and it looked almost hand-made, with a small chimney sticking out from one side, adding to its rustic charm.
As you got closer, you could see a small porch with a rocking chair and a neatly stacked pile of firewood beside it. The cabin gave off a comforting scent of freshly cut wood and a crackling fireplace. The lingering aroma of pine and cedar filled the air. You ambled up to the porch and stood in front of the door before knocking.
"Knock, knock, knock..."
Footsteps led over to the door before someone swung it open. A man hung in the doorway staring down at you, his face that of the Russian flag.
He wore an ushanka atop his head, but the bangs you could see that were poking out and hanging over his icy blue eyes were a snowy white colour. "What?" He practically growled.
You looked up at the man, "Well sir, I was wondering if I could possibly occupy some space in your cabin for a short while?" The Russian huffed, looking down at you decisively.
Russia huffed. He usually turned visitors away and told them to go fuck themselves, but the woman was so lightly dressed so close to snow season, he almost felt bad. Pitiful. He hated that gut feeling deeply, it usually clouded his senses and affected his decision-making.
Opening the door a bit wider, he nodded and allowed her entry. "Fine. But only a short while. And don't expect not to do housework." He growled as Y/N stepped inside. "Thank you." She uttered with a genuine tone. "Also, name's Russia."
Inside the cabin, things were messy and cluttered, items broken and on the floor, like a tornado had ravaged the place. It almost looked as if someone had done it in a mental episode.
As Russia grumbled and walked away to his room, Y/N took in the chaotic scene before her. Determination set in as she decided to tackle the mess.
She rolled up her sleeves and began sorting through the items scattered about. Broken trinkets, torn papers, and overturned furniture littered the floor. With each item she picked up, memories seemed to spill out from them.
A shattered picture frame revealed a photo of Russia smiling next to another man, who had the flag of the USSR as his face. Y/N carefully set it aside, making a mental note to find a way to fix it later. A torn map lay crumpled in a corner, the part with North America ripped out.
She moved with purpose, creating piles of things that could be salvaged and discarding the irreparable wreckage. The broken bits were swept into a dustpan she found, while the rest were organized back into their places.
The once chaotic living room slowly transformed into a space of order and tranquillity. Y/N, proud of her work, stood in the living room hands on her hips. Her eyes drifted over to the wall clock.
11:52 p.m.
With a hum, the woman smiled at her work, when she heard someone walk into the room. With a hum, the woman smiled at her work, when she heard someone walk into the room.
It was Russia, his expression unreadable.
His icy eyes flickered from the now-tidy space to Y/N, a hint of surprise in his icy gaze. He grunted softly, impressed by her efficiency.
"You actually did something useful," he muttered, almost begrudgingly. Y/N chuckled softly at his backhanded compliment, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over her.
As they stood in the transformed room, a comfortable silence settled between them. The crackling fire in the fireplace cast a warm glow over the cabin, creating dancing shadows on the walls. Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of peace in this cosy little space.
Finally, Russia cleared his throat awkwardly, breaking the silence. "Why are you still awake?" he asked gruffly, yet his tone was lacking its usual harshness.
"I wasn't tired." The woman replied, and Russia nodded. "Well, alright then. Just don't wake me up before 10." He huffed and retreated to his room once again.
