Hibernation in a pine tree sucked.
Thalia woke up from sleeping for several years, only to have a backlash of emotions, primarily arousal.
Apparently when you hibernate in a magical pine tree, your arousal stacks over time.
A very flushed Thalia opened her eyes, and to her delight was met with the sight of the most attractive boy she had ever seen.
He was about her age with black unruly hair, bronze skin, sea green eyes, light stubble, and a concerned look on his face.
"Uh… miss, are you okay?"
She meant to say something smooth, like 'I am now.' And then throw in a wink, but it came out as a groan.
"Hold on, I'll get you to Chiron." He said, picking her up.
She noticed he smelled nice, like a sea breeze, and found herself snuggling into his warmth.

She must have passed out, because she came to in an infirmary with a concerned girl with blonde hair looking down at her. With a start, she realized she was looking at an older Annie.
"Annie? How are you this old?" She asked with a frown, looking at the girl she and Luke had been helping to camp. Her and Luke were drawing monsters like crazy, but they couldn’t let the young demigod fend for herself.
"Thalia, listen to me. You've been stuck in that pine tree for a very long time. Grover was hurt and you sacrificed yourself to get us all in camp safely." Annabeth explained.
Thalia remembered her last stand against the monster army that was following her. She was a daughter of Zeus, so she was practically a broadcasting radio tower for monsters.
"I remember, but how did I go from that to being in a tree?"
"Your father, Zeus, honored your sacrifice by making you a tree, which made a barrier around camp. Only demigods and gods can get in." Annabeth explained.
"So… how'd I get out?"
"Percy, he's kind of a celebrity around here, not that he knows it. We just got back from a quest to get the golden fleece to fix the tree after it was poisoned. Apparently, the golden fleece can even reverse a gods' power." Annabeth said, taking a seat on the bed.
"A celebrity? When am I meeting this boy of yours?" Thalia said with a teasing tone.
Annabeth snorted in amusement. "Percy's great, but he's not really my type. He's good in a fight, and he's funny, but… he's not exactly, well… he isn't conventionally intelligent. I'd rather get a more bookish guy."
"Ahhh, so thats what it is. I guess it make sense you have daddy issues." Thalia snarked, making Annabeth blush.
"Sh-Shut up!" Annabeth shot, seeing how physically Thalia was a year younger than her now, she didn't mind talking back at her like when they were younger.
Thalia laughed and shocked her friend with a small pulse of lightning. Annabeth continued to talk to her, explaining different things to her and giving her the opportunity to skip orientation.
Annabeth showed her to her cabin, the biggest one that, while it spoke to her pride, she couldn’t help but be uncomfortable in. She managed to get some sleep, even with the statue of Zeus staring down at her.
She didn't have any nightmares for once.
When she woke up, there was a knock on the door. Thalia wasn't much of a morning person, and she stomped over to the door and flung it open.
