The insults that were being thrown around at him stopped all of a sudden even though Blake had the audacity to mouth Alice back. On any regular day, talking back at Alice was a very big dislike in her books and when someone did, it wasn't very pretty for them nor the people that had the audacity to laugh at her. Yet, the blows and more intense insults never came after minutes of Blake preparing himself for them. Not even the crowd made a single noise.

Blake slowly grew curious at the odd silence surrounding him and looked up. Alice stood with a look of terror as her face was bright pink in embarrassment. The rest of Sparks stood still, staring at one certain spot in the crowd right over his head.

He slowly gazed around at the crowd as they too stared at the same spot Sparks was. His eyes wandered to the very interest of their attention.

His heart started thudding against his chest as his eyes met a pair of bright green ones. A male stood there with his black hair slicked back with hair gel shining against the lights. A tattoo peeked from under the collar of his unzipped black leather jacket which revealed a plain white tee underneath. He wore black jeans and a pair of all black expensive brand of sneakers.

Those bright green eyes stared at Blake with an intensity Blake had never felt before. Slowly, the eyes moved down his body from his short black hair to the glossy black combat boots he wore. Goosebumps appeared on his skin under those eyes.

Blake quickly looked away, his eyes focusing on the bright red high heels Alice wore to avoid the man's gaze. He crossed his arms protectively over his chest with a nonchalant gaze upon his face.

"What exactly is going on here?" the man questioned, his deep voice startling those who had been waiting for him to speak.

Blake's eyes widened in surprise at his deep demon-like voice. His head snapped up toward the man in shock, not believing it had been the man who had spoken.

Something about those bright green eyes that were staring at him, that deep demon-like voice, and the tattoos captivated Blake. He wasn't sure why either. He'd never been so interested in someone in such a long time.

"Oh," Alice giggled with a huge smile appearing on her face as she finally snapped from her surprise. "Don't mind me. I apologize for acting crazy. What's your name, cutie?"

Alice smiled a sickeningly sweet smile as she twisted her body from side to side. She started to slowly inch forward toward the man as if she were stalking her prey. Her eyes were focused intensely on Ashton as if she expected them to captivate the man.

Blake looked down and snarled his nose in disgust at Alice's advantages toward the man. She always acted sickeningly sweet when there was a boy she wanted all to herself. Of course, they never lasted longer than a month or less. Usually, after she'd break their hearts, they'd all disappear from the school and never be seen around.

Ashton shrugged his shoulders at her question, seemingly uninterested in her advantages. Everyone started murmuring to one another as his lack of interest was odd. It was the very first time someone seemed to have little to no interest in Alice or her body.

"I asked you a question first, miss." Ashton responded blandly. He stared over at Blake as he waited for her to respond.

She gasped in disbelief, her puffy cheeks turning a bright pink in embarrassment once more. Her hands slowly clenched and unclenched by her side as her eyes wandered to Blake whose eyes wandered between Ashton and her. She snickered at the sight of his eyes on her.

Blake desperately held back a smirk as he only stared at her blankly, refusing to give in to his desire to talk back menacingly. He always wondered why they even had any interest in him. He never had a conflict with anyone in that school till Sparks messed with him the very first day for no reason.
