The admirer |George Weasley x Reader|

Chapter 1

It was already morning and you were finished eating your breakfast. It was time for you to go to your class which is arithmancy. You were in your 5th year in Hogwarts so it would be necessary that you be busy because of O.W.L.s.

But before you left, someone grab your shoulder to stopped you from walking, at first, when you turn around you thought it's Fred or Lee but as you turn you don't even know which twin it is.

"Fred?" You asked
"No, it's me George. Can we talk for a moment?" You stayed silent for a while and saw you Hufflepuff friend walking towards you as you stopped her and look and George and said
"Sure, just be quick"
"Great! Umm... Can I ask? If you can come with me this hogsmeade weekend?"
"You mean in Saturday? Sorry George, even though I'm interested in pranks I don't buy prank stuff"
"No, no, I mean not Zonkos, we're going to hang out together just us! Please?" You were starting to reconsider his offer.

Why does he inviting you all of the sudden, even though you guys walk together to hogsmeade neither sometimes bump into each other? Did he lost interest on Zonkos? But you can't deny the offer, he's a friend and there must be a meaning of why he invites you to.
"Alright, I'll go then and oh... You hair is a mess" you reach out your hand as he lower his head. You fix his hair and smiled awkwardly at him neither him as you start to walk away backwards and wave goodbye to him.

Your Hufflepuff friend was grinning ear to ear as you were blushing and your ears were pink as you asked
"Hannah, what?"
"What was that over there?" She teased
"I only fix his hair, there's no need to be a tease"
"But did you enjoy it?"
"Maybe a little... Oh but shut up, Hannah" you playfully nudge her shoulder as she giggles. You were feeling your heart thumping, maybe it's because of earlier? Or are you just nervous?.

During arithmancy class, you were sitting right next to Hannah and she was clearly focus on the teacher while you take notes, as you started to have a feeling that someone was watching you, you look around George looking at you but quickly look away. You try to inspect if his ears turned pink or not, but he's too far to suspect so you just shrugged it off and continue to write.

After arithmancy, it was already divinations and you already know that you don't want to go into that class so you decided to spent your time at the library. As you were about to head inside the library somebody called you as he was running towards you, George catched up to you and said
"Not going to divinations?"
"I don't like it there, in fact I'll quit that class"
"Oh... I'm also skipping that too" he said slowly.

"Really? But I thought you like divinations?"
"Well, that was long time ago because it was just tea cups and dry leaves and now planets? I don't think I like planets..." He said as he look away and avoiding eye contact, it seems like he was lying at the last part. Inside the library where the both of you are sitting right next to each other, you opened your potions book and started reading.

As you were reading, you started to curious about earlier and you wanted to ask George about the offer he asked you too. You tap his shoulder and said
"George, why did you invite me to go to hogsmeade?"
"I just wanted to hang out with you, why?"
"Well... Isn't it strange? George Weasley is going to be skipping going to Zonkos?" He blushed as he rub his nose and said
"W-well, you know me... I get enough of stuff that I'm... Well excited at? You know..." He let out a chuckle and look away.

You can already tell that he is already lying because of his tone and the way he speaks as you just smile and said
"George? Is there any other reason of hanging out with me?" He paused for a moment and said
"I can't tell you... It's a secret... Let's just continue reading, shall we?" He buried his face back into the book and he was covering his ears this time.

George has been acting weird recently, because the way he looks at you was nothing like before neither the way he treats you because back when you were still on your first years, George or Fred will pull a prank on you but during second year to fourth, you didn't receive any pranks anymore and the way he talks are starting to get weirder and weirder.

After the whole day at Hogwarts. After lunch you were at the common room sitting on the couch right next to Hermione who was busy reading her book and Harry and Ron was sitting on the floor right next to the table doing their assignment. Harry starts to notice that you were out of yourself as he snap his fingers as you flinched and said.

"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm alright"
"Let me guess, is it about Snape?" Asked Ron.
"No, no, not Snape" you said.
"Then what are you thinking about then? Is there something bothering you?" Harry asked. As you nodded and said
"Yes, it's George?"
"What about him?" Said Ron. You explained everything to them and Harry and Ron were keep looking back and forth to each other, and after you explained they said.

"Maybe he's not interested on pranking you anymore?" Said Ron.
"Or maybe he just change his tone when it comes to talking to women?" Said Harry. But none of their answers were not fit on your explanation. You sigh and start to look up the ceiling and start to wonder about it, as you heard Hermione sigh as well and put her hand on your shoulder and said.
"Isn't it obvious, Y/n? He likes you"
