chapter 4: Hero in the Making

Nanotech covers my body, forming a Red and Blue suit. I can be like the heroes I've looked up to. It was designed to look like dad's. The wind Snaps at my Cape as I take a deep breath in. I'm invulnerable, so even if I don't fly, I'll be fine.. I hope. I start running, Not quite at superspeed, but definitely fast. I Leap off the building, further than any normal person can. I'm falling fast. Shit not my smartest idea. I close my eyes, and My muscles tense up. I don't feel the concrete? I open my eyes, I'm floating about a foot off the ground. I tilt myself Upward. I Rocket myself into the air! The wind against my face feels amazing! "Woohoo!" I scream in excitement. I'm a Superhero!!
I feel so free! I fly up, faster, higher, the Buildings fall below me. The city looks beautiful from this high up. Everyone is moving along, like ants in an ant hill. I let myself drop. I Drop for a good 300-400 feet, before stopping myself, and flying. I fly past cars, People, and buildings. The faster I move, the faster my brain and reaction time become, allowing me to perceive things around me as slower. This is amazing!! And to think, I can do this! Me! Just mere days ago I was just your average joe, Now I’m flying!! fly higher, Past the building. I push through the clouds, as water droplets drop onto my face and Mask. I go past the clouds. The speed, the Power! It feels incredible! The water freezes before melting and Evaporating as I Leave the atmosphere. I hold my breath effortlessly. I watch everything.. The Stars, The planets, they all look so beautiful like this. The lights, and Land, everything about Earth looks Stunning from this high up. I Fly back through Earth's atmosphere. I fly past the clouds, and just as I'm expecting to be greeted by the lights and Traffic of Airodos, I instead get met by A deep Blue floor of water. I Fly higher just before Splashing into the water. The water Grazes my chest, and splashes over my cape and mask. It takes me about 45 minutes to get back to Airodos. Turns out I somehow managed to end up near the Atlantic ocean. As I
listen, and focus. Sounds of people in trouble. I focus, and start hearing sounds of people nearby in trouble. I hear gunshots, sounds like it coming from the right. I fly that way, and see about 7 people shooting up a bank. They have machine guns, and lots of weapons they shouldn’t. The police are trapped behind their cars. They're sitting ducks down there! I land in front of one of the cars. The bullets Crush themselves against me. I sprint towards the armored truck they mounted the machine gun on. And Kick it, and as it's flung away, I grab the guy on top, throwing him onto the concrete. The other 6 turn their attention to me. One throws a grenade at me. Shit! I grab it, and bring it close to me, more or less Hugging it. It explodes, but the explosion is contained. I speed over to the guy who threw it, and punch him, with very little of my strength. He goes flying about 35 feet back before I fly over and catch him by his ankle. "Sorry about that, I'm still trying to figure this out!" I said to him. He may be a criminal, but I don't want to kill him, also, note to self, probably best to use very little strength, and gradually move up if it doesn't affect them. I put him on the ground. The 5 left look at me amazed. They open fire. They are the literal definition of insanity right now. "Have you guys ever looked up the definition of insanity? Bullets won't hurt me!" I say. 4 of them step to the side and back, and one of them steps up. Spikes rip through his armor and shirt. Wings tear out of his back, pieces of skin go flying off from where the wings grew. It looks painful, but he doesn't make a sound. He rips off the mask. "So what do they call you? Chicken-man? Spike-bird-man?" I ask Jokingly.
"I am Marrow-Hawk!" He yells out. He Flies up. He shoots Spikes Out at me, which I just grab and crush. He flies towards me, while spikes extend from his Knuckles. He punches me, from the looks of it with all the force he can. The Spikes splinter, and his hand breaks.
"Are you done?" I ask. I punch Him, using little effort, and he goes flying into the knocked over truck. I Look over at the other 4, and they drop their Guns.
"Alright, if you'll excuse me, I have other things to do." I say. I tense up, the concrete cracks right as I'm taking off.
