Chapter 16: United we fight

We Fly back to Earth, trying to go as fast as we can, probably pushing this ship more than we should.
We enter Earth's atmosphere When the ship's Thruster gives out.
"Shit!" Black-Wolf says
"On it" I say. Nanotech covers my body, as I jump out the hatch. I fly under, and push!
It's not as heavy as a Plane, but I still need to be careful
I push upward against the metal. It bends around my fingers. I focus more on flying against it rather than Pushing with my Hands. The jet starts going back up.
I safely land it, before everyone gets out, a little off balance, looking a little dizzy, but for the most part uninjured.
We enter Alliance Tower, as we enter some people stand up, looking ready to fight. They see me, before standing down.
"Welcome Guardians! Thank you all for meeting us here!" Everett says. I look over at him confused.
"They Accepted the request to join, so while you were trying to keep the jet from shattering on the ground, I sent a message telling them to meet us here." He says.
"Hey, uh can we talk?" Mia asks.
"Privately." She adds
"Uh sure?" I say, confused.
We step outside.
"Nat.. think about it.. If you fight Botasku, he will kill you... you don't have to fight him, We don't have any family here, we can go anywhere, we can leave this all behind, we can go live on fucking mars, and let them have this planet" she says.
"What about everyone else! Billions will die if I don't try!" I say.
"There are other heroes!" She responds
"That will get Killed in seconds if I don't help!" I say..
"Augh, why are you like this!? Why do you have to die so others can live! Fine... Fight him... die.." she says..
She starts walking off, about to take off.
"Wait! Please.. Mia.. I need you.." I try to say. My eyes start watering...
"No you don't... you never have... now go.. save the world.. it's what you'll always choose. You're going to get yourself killed... and I don't.. won't stay to watch it happen..." she says.
"Steel-Girl! Are you out here? Come meet the team!" Everett says, I look over at him, As She takes off shaking the ground.
Dammit, Stupid fucking idiot! Augh I can't do anything right! I lost her again!
My legs collapse like a cardboard box in a thunderstorm, as tears fall from my eyes..
Everett runs over, Hugging me..
"I'm sorry.. I.. I know how it feels.." he says.
After enough time I'm able to actually say something..
"If you retired... Why are you helping me? You... you don't... have to." I say.
" I promised your dad.. before... before he died.. that if anything happened to him.. that I'd watch over you.. he... he was... he was my best friend... so I told him I would.. even if it meant dying" he says.
After enough time, we meet the team.
"So we have Light-Rate. She is capable of running at light speed." Everett says.
Light-Rate waves.
"Flare-Fighter, he can shoot and control fire." Everett says.
Flare-Fighter nods before waving.
He introduces Prodigy, a Wizard. Then, he introduces Perios, who can touch a material and change his skin to be made of that material.
Some kid, a little younger than me, maybe 13 introduces himself as Chris, the son of Iron-Knight.
"So, we got 2 legacies, 4 new heroes, an older mentor hero, know as The Crow, and me," Black-Wolf says.
"Ya, that about sums it up," Everett says.
"Alright, so what's our plan?" Light-Rate asks.
"2 teams, Team 1, Perios, Flare-Fighter, Prodigy, And I, will try to fight and keep Bootaskue Busy. Team 2, Light-Rate, Black-Wolf, Crow, and Chris will Try to Hijack the ship, find a way to destroy it, or transport it far away." I say.
A metallic slime covers Chris, before Solidifying, Forming a Suit of armor.
"You can call me Paladin by the way" he says.
"What no speech?" Black-Wolf asks.
"I don't think I'd give anything good." I say.
"Come on! At least try!" Flare-Fighter says.
"Fine." I say. I clear my throat.
"Today, we fight. Not just for a City, but for every city. The enemy thinks of Humans As Bugs, Insects.. let's remind them that even Insects, in a large enough group, can be deadly if working together. Today, We Become Guardians. Each one of you brings something to the table, and I believe if and only if we Stand together, we might win" I say.
