New world

I remember just yesterday I was a kid
Wishing to quit
Tomorrow would change was the hope I had
And adults being Gods the illusion I made

I remember just yesterday I was a teen
With ambitions and dreams
Tomorrow would bring me what I want was the hope I had
And friends being my life the mistake I made

Today I see the kid and the teen
Both were broken and beaten
Shamed and demeaned
I told myself I would be better
Where is the hopes and dreams I remembered?

I walk this alleyway of darkness now, the streetlight dim
A walking flesh and bones, empty mind and soul
A blank book you can write it all

Beliefs, promises and people along with me
Were all dilemmas I had in me
It was never supposed to be for me
I was just a lesson passing by their street

Taking hurts and scars of yours,
I was happy and content I could be of help.
You gave it all to me and I took it gladly
And suddenly you started hating me for loving you unconditionally.

The roles reversed
Now it's not healer and healing
It was about teaching me something
Noone is here
Noone will be
I was alone
And alone I shall be
Humans are just machines
Built for projecting abuse
In any form be it words or punches in the curbs.

I know and I see
It was never meant to be
Everyone of you who walked alongside me
You just came to see if you were worth the spree
I hope i have healed you enough to last this lifetime
But regrets you will carry
Regrets that she was nice to me,
And i shall carry laughs
From the abuse I didn't choose to see.
Goodbye to your grey world
I tried i tried and i tried
Gave you all my colors and now
I'm black and no shine.

But you know what? I am not afraid
Coz all the hurt and regret
Still made me beautiful and m doing great!!
I will be content with what I have
Smile bright and laugh off all the hates
And I will paint my world full of colors,
now it's your turn to hide away.
For the bright and sunny days I carve
Will shine throughout the universe and pierce your heart.
