Back in the Past

Morning arose from the sunrise. The many inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom woke up and started their days. The usual. But something strange was about to happen on this day. Not your usual "Mario fxxxs up everything" like usual, but something more interesting.

As the birds sang their songs, a strange, blue light gleamed through the cracks of SMG4s room before magically disappearing. The light didn't seem to cause any damage on 4 or his room, who/which was situated in Peaches castle. He woke up tired, as usual, and yawned calmly. He was too tired to open his eyes. "Hey... 3... wake up, it's morning..." said 4, trying to grab SMG3s shoulder in order to shake him awake. But 3 said nothing, and 4s hand only felt the mattress under him. He opened his eyes and saw he was in his old room, back in Peaches castle. The place was supposed to be broken and in the giant hole that he had caused. He got up fast and looked in the mirror by his desk. He was a re-coloured Mario again.

3 started to wake up, moving his hands around. He was looking for SMG4. His boyfriend was nowhere to be found, and eventually, he fell off his bed. "Ow!" He got up and saw he was back in the internet graveyard, in the Starbucks he lived in for many years before moving to the Showgrounds. "The hell?..." he asked himself, looking into the mirror and seeing his old self in the glass. "I swear, if Mario did this ill -" He looked down and saw Eggdog coming up to him before picking his face. 3 smiled. "At least you are the same..." He got up and picked up Eggdog, carrying his son to the kitchen of the Starbucks. He placed him down and filled up his food bowl before calling SMG4. "Knowing these kinds of things, he most likely got stuck in this shindig as well," he said to himself, searching for his boyfriends name on his phone.

4 turned his head, and so did the mirror. He tried to tell himself that it was just a dream, but no matter how much pain he did to himself, he stayed the same. "God damn it..." Suddenly, his phone went off. The ring tone emmidietly told him who I was. "Oi, the idiot who steals your videos is calling! It's best to ignore him! Otherwise, you'll have to -"
"Hello?..."
"4! Did you get transported into your old self too?" said SMG3. 4 was a bit surprised at first but then sighed in relief.
"Oh, thank the meme gods you're here... I was getting worried..."
"Me too, 4..."
"Now... how did we even get here?"
"Who knows? This could've been Meggy's fault for all I know."
"True..." 4 thought for a moment. "I think it's best we meet up first. Then we can talk about this and figure out how to get back."
"Yeah. Good idea. I'll meet you behind the castle. We can talk here in the Internet Graveyard since our friends can be a bit troubling."
"Good plan. I'll see you there, my love!" 4 kissed his phone before ending the call, leaving 3 smiling.
"Dummy..."

SMG4 made his way down the stairway, watching as the others did their daily activities. Tari played games, Mario ate spaghetti, Saiko practiced on her guitar... the usual. Although Melony seemed a bit down, holding the tiny axolotl version of Axol. 4 pieced togheter the conclusion of this happening after the whole Revelations Arc happened. 4 felt sad for Melony, but he had to go see his lover. He didn't exactly have time for any shenanigans. As 3 waited outside, behind the castle, 4 ran over to him with a smile on his face. "3!" he shouted before jumping into SMG3s arms. 3 hugged him tightly, happy to see him safe and sound. "Hey hun." The two looked each other in the eye before kissing. You know, as you do. "Seems like we can still see the real versions of ourselves. Not the past version," said SMG3.

"Yeah. Only the others can see the past version. And the mirrors."

"Come on, 4. Let's go already." 3 then held 4s hand and pulled him into the red portal behind him, transporting them to the Internet Graveyard. The portal then vanished.

A faking sound of walking approached the spot where the portal was before it vanished. The boots she wore weren't very loud. Meggy then looked around for a moment before running inside the castle to tell the others of what she saw.
