4: Getting Settled

I chose this song because while I was in exam mode, I would just wish all of my stress would go away and I would be a little kid again. Thor, Ash and Pikachu got sent to a golden dome. It took Ash and Pikachu a hot second to realize what just happened.

"HOW DID WE NOT DIE??!!!" "PIKACHU PI KA??!"

"You won't die, if you exit the beam, then you'll either land on another planet or drift off into space," Thor stated.

Just the thought of drifting in a black void with no air, no light and certainly no people sent the shivers down Ash and Pikachu's spines.

They quickly dismissed that thought as they saw a man with gold amour and the most golden eyes, waiting for them with a giant sword in a hilt.

"Your Majesty," he greeted.

"Oh come on, Heimdall. No need for that," Thor said nonchalantly,
"Ash, this is Heimdall, he controls who comes in or out of Asgard. Heimdall, this is Ash, he will be staying in Asgard for a while."

"It's nice to meet you, sir," Ash said, as he held out his hand.

He shook his hand and said, "The pleasure is mine." He released his hand and informed Thor that his father had been waiting for him.

"Alright, nothing too serious I hope. Come on, Ash."

"Hey, you guys have a like walking stick I can borrow? I hurt my leg," he asked.

All three of them looked at Ash in confusion.

"How?" They asked.

"Yeah, a stick kinda impaled my leg and I lost a lotta blood. I didn't have antiseptic or anything at the time, so I think it's a little infected."

"Oh, ok then. Uuuhh.... Heimdall, you wouldn't mind finding something for Ash, would you?" Thor asked.

"Of course not." He searched around and found a spear. Sure, it wasn't that practical, and if Ash didn't handle it properly, he could potentially get more hurt, but it was long and sturdy. That was all that mattered. Not the fact that Ash could get injured or killed, noooo.....(ahem moving on)

He handed Ash the spear and Ash started to walk and Pikachu jumped up on his shoulder. It hurt a little to walk but it was better than nothing.

He saw the bridge under them, he hesitated but he stepped on. He was amazed at the bridge that led to Asgard. But he wasn't just amazed by the rainbow bridge beneath them, but Asgard. He wasn't in Asgard but he could just see how big and luxurious the palace was

Even though it was night, the kingdom lit up under the stars' light, making the area look whimsical and magical. And the flora was more beautiful in Asgard than anywhere he had ever traveled in his entire lifetime. And he had been in a lot of places.

As they entered the palace, the guards outside it bowed their heads at Thor while they gave Ash and Pikachu a look they couldn't quite pinpoint. It was a mix between confusion, distrust and a hint of anger. The way they looked at the duo made them uncomfortable.

Fortunately, Heimdall noticed how tense the two looked and reassured them that they hadn't had visitors in a long time, and their visit wasn't very nice. So, they had to keep their guard up.

It didn't help them that much, but their thoughts quickly got cut off because as soon as they saw the inside, their minds were blown!!! The palace was so big!!!! You would need a map to navigate where to go.

"You grew up in here?" Ash asked.

"Yes. With my mother, father and brother. Well, adopted brother," Thor added. He was currently in a holding cell, in the palace.

He and Heimdall led Ash and Pikachu to the throne room. As they were being led, the duo admired the golden palace. He'd never seen anything like it before. Sure, he'd seen Rota, but not even that can compare to the beauty and elegance of this palace.

As soon as they made it to the throne room, Ash had taken notice of a man with long white hair and an eye patch waited for them in a giant throne. He had a stern look, as if he was disapproving Thor's decision of welcoming an outsider into his kingdom.

Although his look felt like it was boring into his soul, a woman with brown hair done in a braid wrapped around her head, making her look more elegant. She had a gentle look on her face, the opposite of the man beside her. It seemed...familiar almost. As if he'd seen her before.

"Mother, Father. This is Ash," Thor introduced. Ash and Pikachu bowed their heads as a sign of respect.

"I'm Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town," he announced as he raised his head, "and this is my partner Pikachu!"

"Pika pika!(Hi there!)" he squeaked and waved his paw.

"I am Odin. Ruler of Asgard," the stoic looking man said.

"And I am Frigga," the woman beside him said.

"Why have you come here?" Odin asked, as if he was interrogating the boy.

"I don't know how I got here. I'm just grateful that your son was kind enough to let me stay here," he said gratefully, he had soft smile as he looked at Thor.

"Well, he never told me about your arrival."

"I know, it was very unexpected and last minute," Thor added, " but he doesn't have anywhere else to go. So I offered to let him stay in Asgard." Odin did not approve of Ash staying in his kingdom. Ash could tell from the look on his face. So he decided not to trouble them any further, Odin would be more than happy.

"It's okay. You don't have to let me stay here. I'll leave."

"Nonsense, child! You are more than welcome to stay here!" Frigga exclaimed, running up to the duo and placed her hand on his free shoulder. "You can stay as long as you want, right Odin?" she emphasized the last part, implying the impression of:" you better agree with me or you're sleeping outside"

He took one more good look at Ash before making his final decision. "We will discuss this in the morning." Ash and Pikachu breathed out a sigh of relief. Although he'd offered to leave, he really didnt want to, especially without his camping gear (and Brock's cooking, man he missed him).Frigga's looked at them in amusement.

"Come, you two. You must be exhausted," Frigga said in a gentle voice. As they walked, she noticed Ash walking with a spear as support.

"What happened?" she asked.

"I hurt my leg. The bleeding stopped but it still hurts."

"Oh no! Come with me, the healers will help you. Heimdall, can you help me?"

"Of course, you Majesty," and they started to walk towards the palace's healers.

Once they were out of the earshot, Thor asked, "What did you call me for, Father?"

"It's about you brother."
