"okay so there's some sort of village just up the path," caden announces to bri.

they continue up the dirty path when the village is just in view.

"okay...uh.." caden mumbles out, looking at the trio of boys up ahead, one of who is starting at them.

"i want mcdonalds!! no no wait i didn't say that. i want wendys!!" a boy in panda hat yells.

"no. you're not getting either," a boy with a shield responded.

they continue talking until the third boy interrupts them.

"guys, there's an angel looking at us." a british voice speaks out.

the rest of the group looks over at caden and bri in awe.

"guys guys, that's my girlfriend!" panda hat declares, huddling the boys into a cluster.

"that one!"

"huh?"

"that's my girlfriend!"

"nope." bri says, walking down the path they just walked up.

caden grabs onto her arm, "bri, cmon, we have to go up".

"she's just walking away from you.."

"no no no wait!!"

bri and caden look back over at the boy in the panda hat confused.

"do you remember me??" he asks.

"no." she responds bluntly.

"i was at Walmart with you!"

bri looks over at caden and whispers, "what's a walmart?"

he shrugs.

"well you were in walmart and i was in walmart"

"no! we've been walking in the woods for the past couple of days.."

"you laughed at me!" he assures. "that's how i knew."

she gives an awkward laugh.

"i've never seen you before in my life."

one of the boys on the path lets out a cough to interrupt them.

"ok..let's leave her alone."

the other one comments aswell.

"chill out there, romeo."

bri begins to walk further up the path, caden following behind.

"please dude, you're digging yourself a deeper hole.."

"where's my flower? why'd you take me away from my flower! ugh, you're making the really awkward." panda hat comments before walking to a different side of the path

"soo, you're an angel and you have weird eyes..?"

"I do not have weird ey—" bri cuts caden off.

"uh yes, kinda.?"

"kinda?"

"we just don't know too much about our history."

"well, for one it's not very kind for someone to say i have weird eyes" caden retorts

"oh yeah, sorry.." british dude apologizes.

panda hat boy returns with two flowers.

"here, i got these for you!" he hands bri a flower and gives caden the other.

"oh uh, thanks?"

"calm down there romeo!" the boy with a shield pulls him back.

"he already said that joke, you can't reuse jokes like that. that's not cool. that's plagiarism."

bri pushes caden closer up and ushers him to tell them why they're here.

"so, we're wondering if you've like seen a minotaur maybe like twelve feet tall??" caden questions.

"woah that's a full grown one.." british boy says.

"how big was the one we killed?" panda boy asks.

"ours was pretty much a child." shield boy responds.

"what're you looking for a minotaur for?"

"well.." caden starts before being interrupted by panda hat boy.

"he wants the horns to put on his head, duh."

"one just totally kidnapped my brother while we were walking so we've been looking for the past couple of days," bri adds.

"you have a brother?" panda hat boy asks caden.

"nah, she does though," he responds pointing to the winged girl beside him.

"the only time I've heard of Minotaurs picking up someone is when they're chasing after demigods..?" british boy says curiously.

"uh well... surprise I guess," bri speaks out.

the shield guy and panda hat guy are busy conversing about something when british boy disrupts their conversation.

"guys, you're missing the important part."

"we're doing the important part, she has a brother!"

"they're demigods."

"i'm a demi... oh hi i'm the son of apollo, child of the prophecy," panda hat boy introduces.

"or wait is it child of apollo, son of the prophecy?" he seems to be speaking to bri but keeps his eyes on caden.

"no.." shield boy says.

"i spent four years on an island.."

"on an island?!"

"huh"

"and i had one goal when i came back, and that was to save my city," he says confidently.
