Before we begin this story, I would like to present a simple question to you all. You do not need to give this too much thought, for it isn't a life changing question. It is only for my own curiosity concerning this topic.

What is love? And why does it affect our lives so much?

A simple, yet dumb question for many.

And one with much meaning behind it for others.

I do not know who will give this matter much thought. As I said, it is only for my amusement, nothing more, nothing less.

But I do wonder if this emotion can change even the most broken people.

Who knows, certainly not me. However, if it does then...

I wish them the greatest of happiness.

Damn it.

I've had many rude awakenings in these past two weeks, which got to the point that if I didn't wake up without any discomfort, I'd think that it was a dream.

But none of them could compare to the pain that I'm feeling right now.

As of right now, I am experiencing the second most excruciating pain I have felt in my life. The only thing beating this, was Angra Mainyu's flames.

And much to my incredible luck, they are all completely different from each other.

Yes. For some odd reason, my head felt like it was about to explode, my left arm felt as if it was cut off and attached once again, my chest was under such incredibly sharp pain that it made me think that I was stabbed, and finally, my legs feel as if they're crushed by Berserker.

A rude awakening indeed, even if it lasted for a second.

However, in some twisted way, I am grateful for this. Since it means that I managed to survive, and defeat Gilgamesh.

With that said, it doesn't mean that I'm off the hook since the others might kill me the second my eyes open. Not like I could fake being asleep since they'll still know either way.

(Let's get this over with...)

Already accepting my immediate painful and joyous reunion, my eyes opened.

...

.......

............

 "...What?"

Ignoring my dry throat, this unfamiliar ceiling in white, alongside the unforgettable smell of antiseptics made me realize that I was in a hospital of all places. That by itself raised many flags in my head.

(The others wouldn't allow any paramedics to take me to a hospital, not only that, they would have healed me themselves.)

It was here that I started to believe the worst, but then my thoughts were interrupted when two nurses opened the door.

"Okay from what Amamiya-sensei said, his final test should be a ..."

Before she could continue, they all stood still when they saw me looking at them.

No one spoke for the next ten seconds, which mind you, made me extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully though, they regained their focus immediately.

"Tsuragi-san, call sensei now!"

As the male nurse went to do what she ordered, the lady (whom I believe is the head nurse) started checking my vitals immediately.

"Sir, how are you feeling?"
