As she walked through the towns square she took a turn weaving through all the people in her way. She kept a basket full of wildflowers close to her body that she picked this morning from the flat fields near the hanging cliffs that overhung the big blue sea bellow. She walked toward the palace that faced the big bustling town. She got to the palace gates, as the guards spotted her she could tell they stiffened as they haven't seen her before, they must have thought of her as some trouble. She felt a little intimidated by their big frames and bodies, especially because of their handmade steel and leather armor that had the special skull marking carved into the left shoulder symbolizing the royal family they served.

"State your name." One of the guards spoke up. Daffodil's gaze looked up from the ground. She cleared her small throat,"D-Daffodil Collymore." Heat came to her face as she got embarrassed from her stutter,"I am here as t-the new flouriest and
gardener  ."She crack a smile hoping they would let her in without any problems. "Very well." They exchanged glances at each other and nodded before opening the big golden gates.

Daffodil walked through making sure her sunhat didn't blow off her head from the islands strong breeze. She looked up at the castle, she had never been this close to it and she never thought she would be this close to the palace. But that changed when she got a letter in the mail from the butler saying they would like to employ her here as their personal florist, she had to say yes. Daffodil was the only florist here on the small island after her grandmother died so the palace was in need. The only time when new people arrive is from the ships that come about once a month to deliver goods, items, letters from the main land, food that can't be grown on the island, and  the people who want to visit their relatives.

She then stoped seeing the small rock path she had been following curved off and around the castle, most likely leading to the stables, so she walked up onto a paved path that lead up to the castle doors. Finally getting to the doors she saw that they were open for her and the butler was waiting inside. "Welcome Ms. Collymore." He greeted in his professional calm tone. "We have been waiting for you. We have something's to discuss about your new job. " He turned and began walking. Daffodil wiped off her dirty leather boots and followed.

The butler lead them to a small room with the Queen. Shocked to see the Queen, Daffodil hurried to curtsy. "Your majesty." She gave a smile as the butler shut the door. The Queen gestured to the seat behind Daffodil,"Please sit. " The Queen smiled gently. Daffodil did as told. "Some tea?" The butler offered. "No thank you." Daffodil said before the Queen began to speak."So Ms.Collymore, we have something's to discuss. You already know your pay but I will give you a raise if you do your job well. As for the flowers, I want you to fill every pot inside and outside the palace with flowers of the colors royal blue and a purple color, preferably a lighter purple shade. " Daffodil gave a nod continuing to listen" For  the parties I will throw I will ask you to plant more flowers of different colors but the royal blue and purple will do fine for now. And we will have Mr. Hux show you what do you in the garden. I have to go Ms. Collymore, thank you for taking the job." Daffodil spoke up," Thank you for offering me the job." She smiled and bowed her head. The Queen then walked out.

The butler walked back in."Please follow me Ms Collymore I will show you to your quarters." She spoke up."Please call me Daffodil." The butler nodded,"Noted." They then began to walk out of the room and down several hallways and up two staircases which was a  workout with how many stairs there were. Finally arriving on a room he turned back to her,"here you are Daffodil. Please, make yourself comfortable and ask me any questions you may have." He gave a small bow before he started to walk off. "Mr!" Daffodil said quickly," How do you get to the garden?" He cleared his throat talking a little louder than before so he didn't have to turn around," go down the hallway take a right and go down two staircases. Once you are outside follow the gravel road and go past the stables. That is the garden. " He then shuffled away quickly.
