chapter 20

Shrishti's pov-

Mom and Maa both have taken over the kitchen and are preparing a variety of food and the cook is just helping them out.

While I am playing cards with Dad and Papa .Arjun has gone to the office as he has an important presentation today .
Although I asked him to come back early but he is still not home and it's 6 in the evening already.

I dialled him but he didn't pick up the call .
Kya hua ....Is he not answering...Dad asked me and I shook my head with a pout.

Busy hoga beta ...Papa said patting my head.
But meeting to kab ki over ho gai hogi ....vo Jaan bhuj k bhi karta h assa ...I said with a huff and they both chuckled.

Aaj aayega to usse baat mat karna...jayda attitude dikha Raha h ....you do the same ...Dad said and I grinned nodding my head while Papa just chuckled seeing our alliance against Arjun .

Mei dekh k aati hu what both the mothers are cooking in the kitchen.....I said and came to the kitchen.

Wow...Pakode ....I said and picked up one to taste .
Ummmmmm....tasty h Mom....let me make Chai too ...I said and she nodded with a smile serving me more pakoras.

Beta Arjun nahi aaya abhi Tak ...Maa asked me .
Mene bola tha Jaldi aane k liye ....I don't know what is taking him so long ....I said preparing the tea .

Dad entered the kitchen a bit worried.
I am going somewhere.....will be right back .... he said and before I could say anything he and Papa both left .

Now I feel a bit uneasy....what's going on ...why were they both looked so tensed.
I tried calling Arjun once again but he still didn't answer.

Is he okay ..... I thought and sudden fear gripped my heart .
Please Bagwaan keep him safe .... Mushkil se sab theek hua h meri life me .....I won't be able to take more ....I prayed to God .

Maa and Mom sat beside me looking worried too .
I tried to divert their mind and even mine too but my heart will be at peace once everyone comes back home safe and sound ..

After an hour the main door opened and Dad and Papa entered with Arjun who has a bandage on his head and right arm plastered.

Ohhh my God ....what happened to you beta.....Mom rushed to him while I was still processing that he met with an accident.

He sat on the couch and told everyone that he is fine and it was just a minor accident and there is nothing to be worried about .

He has just got a minor cut on his forehead and his shoulder get dislocated .
Tears filled my eyes and he looked at me and blinked his eyes assuring me that he is fine.

You take some rest beta.....I will make a haldi wala dhudh for you....that will help you to recover faster ....Maa said and he just nodded with a small smile.

Shrishti beta take Arjun to the room...he needs to rest ...Papa said and I nodded.

I helped him to settle on the bed and put pillows behind him to support the left shoulder.

It's nothing, I will be fine in just 2 weeks. The doctor has  said there's nothing to worry about he said holding my hand and making me sit beside him .

Abhi to sab thik hua tha....mujhe laga tha mei tumse saari baate manvaugi.....khud ko pamper karaugi .......but now this happened I said while crying and he laughed pulling me to himself and wrapped his right arm around me .

Can't you wait for 10 days....uske baad I will be at your service ma'am ....He said kissing on my hair and I nodded wiping my tears .

Mujhe dar lag gya tha Arjun ....you were not answering my calls and then Dad and Papa left without telling anything.
I was getting worst thoughts ....I said and he cupped my face making me look up .
