Take Me Back To Eden

Was that a dumbass idea, suggesting to be a stay-at-home for Nanami?

If only I had someone to ask. The Loneliness is prevalent right now.

It's a work day Tuesday, and I find myself tapping my desk with my nails.
My computer screen stares back at me in question, waiting for the Microsoft Excel sheet to fill with the values that guess who- Gojo is supposed to be bringing.
I sigh, moving to tap my phone and assess the time.

I have three hours until Nanami comes and knocks on this door. The wait of three hours weighs on me, but just then I hear a knock.
I hope it's Nanami. I love my man.

I stand up from my desk and sway around to the front of it, then step forward and open the door. It's Gojo.

I don't know whether to be happy or sad, knowing that he's holding a thick folder of paper.

"Heya." He says simply, inviting himself into my office.

I close the door behind him, frowning already.

"The papers?" I ask, holding my hands open for him so he won't have to spend another minute here.

"What papers?" Gojo asks, turning and looking at me quizzically.

I scowl. "Did you forget why you were supposed to be here?"

"Uh, no....?" Gojo mumbles to me. I roll my eyes and cross my arms, and Gojo lets out a kooky laugh.

"No, I didn't. Here they are."

Gojo extends out his arm, offering to me a thick vanilla folder, held closed by his long slender fingers. I gave him a once over, and I noticed that he was holding the folder behind his back all along.
He was wearing a baby blue dress shirt, casually complete with a pair of blue pants and an untied black and white striped tie.
I attempt to take the folder from him, but he snatches it out of reach and my hand falls empty.

"Something...." Gojo begins, securing the folder behind his back again. "Tells me.... that you don't want me here."

I roll my eyes at him. "Was it that obvious?"

"What?" Gojo asks. "Why?" He looks at me as if I'm the one in the wrong.

"You're the single biggest troublemaker I know. And I know."

Gojo gives me a lazy grin that tells me all I need to know. "Look, that girl from my department,-"

"No!" I say immediately. " We are not talking about that. Now give me what I need and leave."

Gojo's lazy smile gets closer to me and I end up backed against my desk. He looms over me, silently standing inches away from me and flirtatiously casting his eyes up and down my body.

"And what... do you need?" He asks, gazing into my eyes.

I'm frozen. Nanami, Nanami, Nanami....
I end up frowning so hard I debate on slapping him. All of these glass walls around us, and no one dares look through this one?
Gojo smiles when I don't respond to him, gently pressing the vanilla folder against my chest.

"Don't give your big boss this report late, okay?" He says, teasingly pressing his finger to my nose as he releases the pressure of his hand from my chest. His presence is gone, as he turns away and leaves. The folder falls as he goes, the clear door feeling cloudy as it closes behind him. This entire room feels cloudy all of a sudden.
