The sounds of leaves crunching and rain falling relaxed you, it gave you peace from how stressful life was as a demon slayer.
You were holding your sword and walking through the peaceful forest when you smelled a humongous amount of blood. It reeked. It was so bad that you could smell it from miles away. You immediately covered your nose and coughed
"H-Hello..?"
You called out and heard nothing so you decided to run towards the smell, still covering your nose.
Then you saw it... the ugliest thing you've ever seen
There was dead bodies ripped apart on the ground, dried blood everywhere and you even recognized some of them. You saw a body that looked like Tanjiro's....
You screamed in shock and woke up in a panic, sweat pouring down your face, your heart beating at a million miles per hour, and you looked t your side and saw Tanjiro peacefully sleeping. Just the sight made you want to cry, so you did... you sobbed quietly, digging your face into your knees and after awhile you felt the bed shift and you looked up and saw Tanjiro concerningly (IS THAT A WORD?! I DON'T KNOWWW) raising his eyebrow at you and frowning
"Hon... are you okay?"
You broke down and hugged him and he was in shock
"(Y/N)..?"
You sniffed and tried to calm down, digging your face into his neck
"I-I'm sorry Tanjiro... I had a really bad nightmare and it scared me..."
His concerned frown faded into a comforting smile as he hugged your waist and kissed your forehead
"Well, if you'd like to talk about it we can... if not we don't have to..."
You smiled and looked up at him 'he was so kind and respectful' you thought
"Thank you Tanjiro..."
Tanjiro chuckled and raised an eyebrow
"For what dear..?"
He ran his hands through your hair and kissed your forehead again
"For respecting my boundaries..."
He chuckled again and nodded
"Of course... I love you so much and you mean the world to me my darling... now... let's talk shall we?"
He gave you a comforting squeeze on your waist and you began talking to him about your nightmare...
