(These chapters will be shorter for a couple of them.)
Jesse began driving home from a late night. It was around 9 o'clock. He was ready to sleep. He wipped his face clean, and stepped into the house. Hanzo was inside, reading a book on the couch. When he noticed him, he smiled.
"Good evening Jesse. How was work?" Jesse's tired eyes said everything. He hung his coat and cracked his neck, letting out a small groan after. He went behind Hanzo on the couch and bent down to kiss his head.
"Just great angel." Hanzo chuckled, blushing slightly. Jesse only called him 'angel' when he had done something right or Jesse was feeling extra clingy.
"Dinner is in the microwave. I made Beans with cornbread, mashed potatos, and chicken. Hope you enjoy. Take a minute to rest. You need it. I can tell." Hanzo kissed Jesse's cheek and smiled, Jesse giving him a tired smile.
"Of course sweet pea." Jesse grabbed the food and sat next to Hanzo, eating slowly, and half awake. Hanzo rubbed Jesse's head gently as Jesse layed on his shoulder. Before Hanzo knew it, Jesse passed out without finishing his food. Hanzo smiled, and gently picked him up best he could, and laid him in bed, Jesse chuckling lightly after waking up slightly from it. Hanzo, embarrassed, cuddled with him in bed, and they both fell asleep together. Hanzo couldn't be happier. He had a loving boyfriend, a house, and a wonderful job. Overwatch. He smiled as he fell asleep, Jesse knocking out the second his head hit the pillow.
Throughout the next few weeks, Jesse came home later and later. Hanzo began to worry, naturally, and asked Jesse why work is holding him. Hanzo hated how he'd give him the same answer every time.
"Sweat pea, don't worry your pretty head about it. They just need me for late night missions since I just so happen to volunteer." he'd say to me with a kiss.
"Then stop volunteering! Look at you!" he said holding Jesse's face, looking at his tired eyes. "You can't save shit when your tired like this. Their overworking you."
"You know I can't do that sugar pea. I love helping people, it's an honor."
"An honor you won't have for long if you don't get some rest Jess. Please, sleep well tonight and don't keep doing this for to long if you can help it. Ok?" Jesse nodded, feeling defeated. He layed his head on Hanzos shoulder, and gently wrapped his arms around Hanzo, hugging him.
"Ok." he said gently. Hanzo, still worried, patted his head and helped him to bed.
Hanzo had been dealing with this for another week now, and Jesse came home later and later. Now he started coming home around 2 am, and Hanzo always stayed up to help him into bed. Jesse began to not eat dinners, and worked all the time. Hanzo began to worry Jesse was stuck in a workaholic cycle. Hanzo tried to think of a way to help. Anything. Hanzo could make his favorite meal, but then again he hasn't been eating anything since he's been so tired. Hanzo just hoped his support for him would be enough.
