"damn."

saeri's eyes went wide, a dark tint of pink rushing through her face. she quickly turned her head to face seungmin, the boy sitting at his desk, looking her up in down with his bottom lip placed between his teeth.

"u-uh.. is it good? i've never worn anything like this before." saeri muttered, nervous of his reaction.

seungmin nodded, standing up from his chair and walking towards the girl.

"you look great, it's definitely gonna make her jealous.." he trailed off, his arm snaked around her shoulder as she looked at herself in the mirror.

a thought popped into saeri's head, her mouth falling into an 'o' shape.

"who is this girl, anyway?" she asked, moving her body away from seungmins, his warmth leaving her.

seungmin only gave her vague details, where to meet, why they're meeting, but nothing specific. it kind of bothered saeri since she was only being used for his needs.

"my ex. hwang jiya."

saeri knew the girl, but jiya was one of the people who first started calling her a nerd and the good girl of the school. the girls did not like each other one bit.

at the sound of her name, saeri frowned. seungmin saw her face through the mirror, his eyebrow raising in confusion.

"what? why are you making that face?" he questioned, removing his arm from her shoulder and turning his body to face hers.

"nothing. she used to make fun of me a lot, she still does sometimes." she sighed, walking away from seungmin and over to her bag.

she grabbed her phone from her bag, seeing a text from her mom asking when she'll be home. saeri sighed, putting the phone back in her bag without responding. she then sat on seungmins bed, looking at him as he spoke to her.

"she still does? dammit, i thought she stopped doing that."

saeri nodded as seungmin let out a deep breath.

"anyway, people are starting to show up. you ready?" he walked over to saeri, holding his hand out for her to grab. saeri sighed before grabbing his hand, letting him pull her up from the bed.

they left the room, walking to the living room where everyone was, their hands still intertwined.

"hey guys, thanks for coming!" seungmin spoke, the people that were there responding back with their own 'hey'. saeri didnt see anyone she knew, her heart beating hard in her chest with anxiety.

"hey, seungmin, where are the dri- why are you here?" the voice spoke to seungmin before turning to look at saeri who had her arm wrapped through his.

saeri looked up at the voice, eyes widening when she realised who it was.

han jisung. her brother.

"this is saeri, my girl, dont be rude to her jisung."

"well, can i speak to your girl for a second?" jisung spoke, his eyes narrowed at saeri. seungmin hesitantly nodded, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

seungmin turned to look at down at saeri before she gave him a reassuring smile, but she was only reassuring him. she was honestly scared for her life.

jisung grabbed saeri's hand, quickly pulling her away to a spare room. he closed the door behind them before turning to look at saeri with a sigh.

"why the fuck are you here, saeri?" jisung spoke, an annoyed tone dripping from his words.

saeri looked down at the floor. she definitely did not expect to see her brother at the party.

"seungmin asked me to come with him.. he wants to make jiya jealous or something." saeri looked back up at jisung, a now sympathetic look on his face.

"so he's using you? and you're letting him? he sounded upset to saeri, but he just didn't want his little sister to get hurt.

"im sorry.."

"mom is worried, why arent you answering your phone?"

"she doesnt actually care. if anything she would be worried about you." saeri rolled her eyes, walking to the door and leaving.

she closed the door behind her. leving jisung in the room by himself. saeri found seungmin in the kitchen, taking shots with a guy she hasnt seen before.

saeri didnt say a word, standing next to seungmin as he kept pouring more and more shots for him and his friend.

"oh hey. seungmin, who's this?" the guy said, looking at saeri who had sat down in the chair next to seungmin, her fingers fiddling with the hem of her skirt.

"saeri. be nice to her."

"of course i'll be nice to her, she's a cutie." the boy said, leaning his arms on the island, staring at saeri with a smile.

saeri's eyes widened, looking up at the boy who wouldn't take his eyes off of her. he then held his hand out to her, waiting for her to take it.

saeri hesitated at first, her eyes scanning his face, then his hand, and back to his face before placing her hand in his.

"i'm chan, nice to meet you, cutie." chan smiled, his eyes curling up as his mouth widened.

saeri blushed, the warmth spreading from her neck to her face and ears.

"chan, please stop flirting with my girlfriend." seungmin sighed, smacking chans hand away from saeri, giving her an apethetic look. saeri giggled at this, thinking chan was being cute, probably more affectionate than seungmin would ever be.

"sorry, sorry. just.. if you dont want her, i will gladly take her." chan sent saeri a wink, walking away from the island as seungmin rolled his eyes, putting his arm around saeri's shoulder.
