Harry took a moment to process what Draco had just asked him.He jumped with a quiver as he looked back.

"Wh-Wh-What are you talking about?"he stutters.

Fool!Fool!Fool!Fool!Why are you stuttering?!!

He was sure Merlin himself was wondering how a person who defeated a whole Dark Lord at seventeen was still stuttering over a boy.

"I mean you looking at me the whole night like you couldn't take your eyes off me even if you tried."Draco answers, smirking as he moves closer.

'Well of course I couldn't you look like a Greek god.'Harry thinks to himself.
The haughty look quickly disappears on Draco's face and what he says shakes Harry to the core.

"I'm not up to anything Potter. So you don't have to follow me like a shadow everywhere I go. I'm only here because I want to finish my studies, nothing else. You've already scarred me once;leave me alone. Please."

With that,he left for the bathroom and left Harry standing there gaping like a fish.

****

Harry stands there for almost thirty minutes contemplating what he just heard. He remembers vividly that night in the bathroom;Draco's spindly body laying on the floor, blood oozing out of deep gashes that stretched across his chest that he caused.

Of course Harry knew he would cause no trouble;he had stood up for him at his trial. If it wasn't for him,the amount of bureaucracy at the Wizengamot would have made sure he would go to Azkaban.

As if he couldn't even realise he was doing it,Harry takes out his map. 'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.' he mutters. The ink spreads out on the parchment and he spots the footsteps of the name that is usually on his mind, more often rather than not.

'You don't have to follow me like a shadow.....' Draco's words rang in Harry's mind as he traced Draco's footsteps coming from the library.Technically,he wasn't following him;just looking at him from a map.

Since the new school year started,Harry thinks that Draco has become a very tolerable person. The old, despicable Draco would have teased Harry about his dead mother or called him 'scarface' any chance he would get. These days it was only 'Excuse me,Potter' or very, very short glances towards each other;both of which happened rarely.

The short encounter which led to Harry being shaken to his core was actually the longest civil conversation they had ever held, and it was over before it even began.

His train of thought was abruptly interrupted by some shouting coming from the common room. After thinking of Draco for almost an hour,he sighed and reluctantly decided to see what the fuss was all about.Probably just some more inter-house drama.
