Chapter 1

"I still can't believe you guys share a soulmate with Loki. Like, that just ain't fair to you guys." Sam said to Steve and Bucky.

"She was my soulmate first. I have been alive longer than the soldiers." Loki rolled his eyes as he walked behind them on the sidewalk outside of the tower.

"Stevie, I'm gonna stab him." Bucky grumbled.

"Buck, he's just trying to get under your skin. Ignore him." Steve sighed.

"It's worki- hey!" Bucky gasped as a girl ran straight into him before maneuvering around him quickly.

Suddenly Bucky, Steve, and Loki's wrist started tingling.

"Stevie, that was her. Quick, we have to go after her!" Bucky shouted.

Steve, Loki, Bucky, and Sam and ran after the girl. However, she was long gone.

"What the hell. Where did she go!" Sam exasperated.

Bucky threw his hands in the air before punching the wall next to him.

"Damnit! Stevie, we almost had her!" Bucky's eyes watered as he looked at his lover.

"We'll find her, Buck. I promise." Steve said, hugging him.

Hope stood on top of the building, staring at the three men in the ally. She held her wrist in her hand, staring at it in shock.

"You've gotta be kidding me." She said to herself.

"Well, well, well. It seems I've found you." Loki said, appearing behind Hope. Hope turned around with wide eyes.

"Soldiers, I've found her." Loki called down into the ally.

Steve and Bucky looked up. Bucky's eyes caught Hope's as she looked at them.

"Damnit. You see, I'm currently in a hurry to find someone. So if we could table this until I kill the bitch, that would be lovely." Hope said annoyed.

"Doll, who are you trying to kill." Bucky asked, walking towards her on the rooftop.

"The bitch who stole my body. She has messed with me far too much for my liking. Her lifetime of 1000 years is about to be over." Hope said, jumping off the roof. She pulled out her phone and called the number of the person she was after.

"Aurora, come out of hiding. Your brother is waiting for you in hell. Don't make me pull out the side that is like my father. We both know why you were scared of him. And I'm just like him, if not worse. Your clock is ticking. If you don't come to me by midnight tonight. I swear, I will rip out your spine and wear it as a necklace." Hope growled into the phone, walking down the sidewalk.

"Now, now, little bird. Last time I checked, I'm older and stronger than you. You being the freak tribred won't help you. I'm older and more experienced." Aurora mocked her, walking out of the church on Hope's left hand side.

Hope was quick to immobilize her. "WOW, I honestly thought I was going to have to hunt you down. Kinda sad I didn't get to chase you. You know what us apex predators are like. We love the chase." Hope smirked as she threw Aurora back into the church.

Bucky, Steve, and Loki watched from the threshold of the church as Hope taunted Aurora.

"Stevie, I'm confused on what's happening here." Bucky said.

"Let me explain. I will put us in her head so we can see what has happened and what she's thinking."

"Loki wait-!" Steve exclaimed before suddenly his and Bucky's vision was taken over by a green fog.
