{Many centuries ago...}

In a dark, cold, and wet cave, was an egg, which was starting to hatch. The shell of the egg fell apart as A small, reptilian creature with scaly wings emerged, and stumbled to its feet. The creature looked around and explored the small cave, before going outside to find the red sky of hell. The creature, scared, stumbled backwards into the cave, before a demon found him, the demon was very tall, the blue fur on its body resembled fire. The demon peered at the small dragon, before crouching down to look it in the eye.
???: Hey, I'm not going to hurt you.
The tall demon reached its hand out to the small dragon, who examined it, before it sniffed the large palm, then slowly and carefully climbing into the palm. The large demon softly lifted his arm, carefully lifting the dragon onto one of his shoulders.
Asmodeus: My name is Asmodeus, it's been a long time since I've seen a dragon...rest assured, you are in good hands.
The small dragon let out a roar, well, more like a squeak.
Asmodeus: I think I will call you...Y/n.

{Present Day}

Charlie: Once upon a time, there was a glowing city protected by golden gates, known as Heaven. It was ruled by beings of pure light. Angels that worshiped good and shielded all from evil. Lucifer was one of these angels. He was a dreamer with fantastical ideas for all of creation. But, he was seen as a troublemaker by the elders of Heaven. For they felt his way of thinking was dangerous to the order of their world. So, he watched as the angels began to expand the universe in their ways. From the dust of Earth, they created Adam and Lilith. Equals as the first of mankind, but despite this, Adam demanded control, and Lilith refused to submit to his will. She fled the Garden. Drawn in by her fierce independence, Lucifer found her and the two rebellious dreamers fell deeply in love. Together, they wished to share the magic of free will with humanity, offering the Fruit of Knowledge to Adam's new bride, Eve, who gladly accepted. But this gift came with a curse. For with this single act of disobedience, evil finally found its way into the Earth. With it, a new realm of darkness and sin. And the order Heaven worked to maintain was shattered. As punishment for their reckless act, Heaven cast Lucifer and his love into the dark pit he had created, never allowing him to see the good that came from humanity, only the cruel and the wicked. Ashamed, Lucifer lost his will to dream. But Lilith thrived, empowering demonkind with her voice and her songs. And as the numbers of Hell grew, so did its power. Threatened by this, Heaven made a truly heartless decision. That every year, they would send down an army, an Extermination, to ensure Hell and its sinners could never rise against them. But Lilith's hope remained. And her dream was passed down to their precious daughter, the Princess of Hell. When Hell was first conceived, Heaven and Hell were in perfect balance due to A race of angelic and demonic creatures known as Dragons, creatures who didn't worship good or evil, they just protected their home. Though, one day, All dragons inexplicably went extinct, except one, a single egg remained, and hatched. Growing without parents, the dragon was scared, and confused, before quickly adapting and proving himself as A dragon to truly be feared by all that dared to oppose him.
She closed the storybook and looked out the window at the destroyed pentagram city, then sighed.
Charlie: Don't worry, Mom. I'll make you proud.
The door to Charlie's room then opened.
Vaggie: Charlie?
The key Charlie was holding then turned into the hotel's cat, Keekee and ran off.
Charlie: Ahh! Oh, shit, did you hear all that?
Vaggie: Uh...Yeah, we were right there.
She pointed her thumb as the door as Y/n sat next to Charlie.
Charlie: Sorry. I get pretty worked up after an extermination happens. This story helps.
Vaggie: We know. Don't worry, I enjoy your theatrics.
Y/n: I didn't know I was also described in that storybook.
Vaggie: Wait, you're the egg that hatched?
Y/n: Yeah, do you see any other dragons in hell? I'm the only one down here that has a landmark designated to them...I should go check on my den sometime soon.
Vaggie: Anyways, are you okay?
Charlie: I'm fine, just-- thinking ya know, family stuff.
Vaggie: Did you hear from your mom yet?
Charlie shook her head, sadly.
Vaggie: Oof. How long has it been now?
Charlie: Not that long, only...seven...years...off doing something important, I'm sure. But this kingdom was something she really cared about. Something I care about.
Vaggie: Well, at least you aren't alone.
Charlie: I just hope what I'm trying to do here will work.
Vaggie: It will. I have faith in you.
Keekee then jumped onto Charlie's lap as Y/n and Vaggie stood up.
Vaggie: All right. Come on. Alastor says he has something to show us.
Y/n: Five bucks it's something one of us is gonna be upset about.
Vaggie: Charlie forbid us from betting on this kinda stuff, remember?
Y/n: Dang it.
The two left the room and closed the door behind them, before waiting for Charlie downstairs.
