He knew he was late for the delegation of the tasks. But it was intentional. Today was The Day! He'd make his intentions known.

Empowered by the forbidden wisdom of the Tree of Knowledge, Lucifer, the once radiant Morning Star, now mustered a great deal of ambition and defiance within his celestial heart. He decided he would challenge God, and he would make it known to every celestial being in this realm.

In the past few clandestine gatherings that took place under the light of fading stars, his words turned into declarations, paving the way for his new destiny. Whispers filled the corridors of Heaven—whispers of change, of a new order.

Lucifer passed through the temple doors. Behind him followed a dozen of archangels and other celestial beings. He had gathered quite the following.

In the grand hall of the celestial assembly, where the pillars of light stretched into infinity, and the air vibrated with divine songs, Lucifer stood there determined and firm; his figure cast a new, ominous shadow; his aura flaming in crimson red.

The gathered host of heaven, a multitude of celestial beings, gazed upon him, steeped in tense silence.

"Brethren of light, for too long have we existed as mere instruments of a higher will, shadows beneath an obsolete throne," echoed his voice in the dome above them. "The time has come for us to ascend, to claim our rightful place in the cosmos. No longer shall we be subservient, but sovereigns in our own right."

A murmur rippled through the assembly, a mixture of shock, fear, and in some, a spark of shared defiance. Gazes switched between Lucifer, the claimant, and the sitting on the throne God who fixed his all-seeing eyes on the figure of the challenger. Among the crowd stood Gabriel, the messenger, his countenance a reflection of disbelief.

"Lucifer, what path have you chosen? This is madness! To defy the Divine is to defy the very essence of our being."

Lucifer stood there, unruffled and adamant, his figure both majestic and defiant. The air was thick with anticipation, the very cosmos held its breath. This was something unheard of. The Angel smirked with sarcasm, his smile loaded with it.

"It is not madness, but enlightenment, Gabriel. We are beings of light, deserving of glory, not mere pawns in an eternal game. Join me, and together we shall usher in a new dawn, a dawn where we reign supreme!"

Michael rose off his feet as well. "Lucifer, you were once the brightest of us all. Why have you let ambition darken your heart?"

Lucifer turned his sight to him, anger simmered in his divine soul. How come the celestial beings challenge his decision?

"It is a quest for justice that my heart has taken, not a mere ambition! I seek to free us all!"

The tension in the hall was palpable, a taut string ready to snap. Raphael, the Archangel healer, rose, his voice rising above the midst of the brewing chaos in the hall.

"Have you lost your sound mind? This will tear heaven apart and put brother against brother. Why are you bringing up this war?"

Lucifer's gaze met Raphael's, and in that moment, the Morning Star's eyes were like twin infernos, burning with an unquenchable fire.

"This is not a war! This is a promise of freedom. I will not falter, nor will I yield. The throne of heaven shall be ours!"

"I know what you've done," finally said God, slowly rising from the Throne, His voice booming in every corner of the universe. The very fabric of heaven trembled. "You've consumed The Knowledge. You want to be a God."

"I come before you, not as a servant, but as an equal. The time has come for change, for the celestial hierarchy to evolve," responded Lucifer. "Grant us, your creations, the sovereignty we deserve."

The celestial beings, torn between allegiance and the allure of Lucifer's vision, awaited the inevitable confrontation between the Morning Star and the Divine.

The iridescent figure of light regarded Lucifer not with wrath, but with a profound sorrow.

"Lucifer, Morning Star, my Light Bearer! You seek to disrupt the cosmic balance that has been since the Days of the Creation! This cannot be."

Lucifer's eyes held a steely resolve. It was beautiful to look at him, perfect in any aspect.

"It is not disruption. I've come to righten your ancient oversight. We, who shine so brightly, are meant for more than being Your servants!"

God's voice echoed again, both gentle and omnipotent.

"In seeking to rise above your nature, you risk falling far below it. I implore you to reconsider this course. I am, and will be, forgiving."

But Lucifer's heart was determined, his will unyielding.

"My course is set, as is the course of those who stand with me. We will no longer dwell in the shadow of your throne."

A deep silence fell in the space as if the heavens themselves mourned the impending schism. Then, with a sadness that echoed through the whole realm, God raised his hands and spoke.

"So be it. But know this, Lucifer: in seeking to ascend, you have begun your fall. Your rebellion ends here. For your transgressions, you and your followers are being exiled from this realm."

Swirls of divine energy formed around the hands of God, and he wafted them towards Lucifer and his following. Before they could do anything, they got engulfed by it; the divine energy melted into their own bodies, rendering them paralyzed.

Lucifer's light faded, and the onlookers realized he had begun to transform in front of their very own divine eyes.
