Getting better

Itachi's POV:

I found a quick  bounty I could finish before Naruto wakes up. WANTED: URAMI KAZE *vengeful wind BOUNTY - 10,000,000yen. This bounty price is very generous, they must be quite strong. Though, I have nothing to be afraid of. My strength, agility, and stealth come second to none. Naruto and I are equals and both of us are on different levels than everyone else. The only people who come near our status are our parents.

Putting all of that information aside, I haven't killed anyone for 3 days, I think it's about time I get back to work. I got dressed in a special navy blue tuxedo that turned jet black in the night. For accessories I wore black dress shoes which had knives hidden in the back, and silver Rolex watch, and a light blue tie for the suit. I had my hair in my usual low ponytail. The tuxedo had pockets for many different types of weapons, but I only packed a red silenced gun, and two Kunai.

I headed out the door and got into my black 1966 Chevy Biscayne. It was a 20 minute drive to a party with many millionaires. It won't be too abnormal for me to show up to this party since the Uchiha mafia are billionaires, but I'll still draw a lot of attention. I'm looking for a brown haired guy named Kenji Tanaka, but I'm sure he'll be one of those happy go lucky guys who messes with a lot of women. He'll be easy to find.

Arriving at the party, everyone outside bowed and the guards didn't even bother asking for my id. Walking in a few women winked at me, but I just ignored them, this happened all the time so I was used to these things happening no matter where I went. I kept walking around nodding to a few people as my way of greeting them. A pink haired bratty looking girl grabbed my arm and tried to flirtatiously rub her small A cup breasts on it. "Itachi-kun how could you marry an ogre like Naruto! You should marry me instead, I'll satisfy you well!" The girl said in an annoying high pitched voice.

The Haruno's have always tried to get me or my brother to marry this girl. She isn't ugly, but she's annoying, pushy, and sleeps around a lot. Every time she sees me or my little brother she tries to seduce us and get us to sleep with her. It never works and never will.

"My wife is more beautiful and kind-hearted than you'll ever be." I said with venom in my voice and walked away throwing her off my arm.

Shortly after that interruption, I spotted Kenji Tanaka; the bounty I've been looking for. The plan I came up with is to talk to him until he finishes his drink, then offer to refill it for him. When I refill his drink I'll add graceless poison that will kill him 10 minutes later. No matter how hard people look for poison though, it won't be found, I made it myself.

I greeted Kenji and tried to make conversation waiting for him to drink all of his drink. Around 10 minutes of conversation later, he had finished his red wine. "Damn it! I've already finished my drink" Kenji said. "Oh I see, I need to go get a drink myself, so I'll refill it for you." I said with a fake small smile. "Thank you man I appreciate it!" The man said. I headed off to the bar and ordered two drinks. I discreetly put the poison into the cup while in a crowd. I head back over to Kenji and handed him his drink.

The party ended around the same time, and I made sure of it so no one would seen Kenji fall to his death. I headed out as well walking out with Kenji knowing I'm he was close to taking his last few breaths. I let him fall on me and told people who had questioning looks that he'd just passed out from alcohol. I put him in the backseat of my car and drove to a place where I could sever his head and turn it in for the bounty money.

I headed home and went into my room to shower and check on Naruto. She wasn't in the room anymore so I checked her room to make sure she was still here.

Naruto's POV:

When I woke up the sun was setting, so I wondered how long I had slept. I felt a wet towel on my forehead and thought 'Did Itachi or the maids do this for me?' I'd be a bit shocked if it wasn't the latter option. I looked around and saw no sign of Itachi, but I did notice that I was in his room. Maybe Itachi really did do all this for me.

I no longer felt the excruciating pains from earlier, though, I did still have a horrible migraine. It was nothing I couldn't handle. I headed downstairs but stopped on the 3rd to last stair from the top seeing the pitch darkness that awaited me downstairs. I never did like the darkness, anytime I was in the dark, it felt like someone was watching me. What's more, the darkness makes me feel alone like no one else is there for me. I always sleep with some type of nightlight, but if I can't I hold my Hello Kitty plush tight to help me fall asleep.

I decided I'd be fine and headed down into the darkness where no light could be found. I wanted to find Itachi to ask him if he'd been the one who had helped me. I carefully made my way around to where I thought was his office. In my stumbling around, I bumped into someone with quite a big build. The shock only made my migraine feel worse.

On instinct, I swept the persons feet from under them so I could have the upper hand. This always comes in handing when fighting with someone so tall and muscular. The person grunted so quietly that I could barely hear it. That didn't stop me though— I took out a thin but sharp knife the width of a single chopstick. With the knife cover it looked like a normal chopstick, so I used it to hold up my long hair in case I had no other weapons.

I held the knife to the persons neck threateningly. "If you're here to hurt me or my husband, your fate will be horrid" I said quietly but deadly, my eyes turning fox like. The person chuckled deeply. "I am your husband, what are you speaking of Naruto?" I gasped and quickly jumped off of who I now knew was Itachi feeling embarrassed.

"I'm so sorry.. I couldn't tell who you were with how dark it was." I said looking down at my feet trying not to show Itachi how red my face was from embarrassment. "It's good to always be prepared, so I have no complaints." Itachi said back to his normal monotone self. I used my hand to search for the light switch on the wall turning it on. I looked back up at Itachi to see him in a beautiful fitted tuxedo with blood splatter on it. I couldn't help but tell how the suit was changing from jet black to navy blue.

I saw something different in Itachi's eyes. For the first time I saw amusement in his eyes. The look made me blush a bit harder and try to look away. "I-I think I'll go upstairs and take a bath and watch movies. G-goodnight Itachi" I said quickly trying to run back the way to the stairs. It looked like Itachi's face was forming a smirk, so I tried to run even faster, but that was my mistake because I tripped on my hair yet again. I fell but landed on my hands. "Blasted hair! Why do you always trip me at crucial times like now!?" I said out loud; forgetting Itachi was there.

I didn't notice his presence until I heard soft chuckles coming from his direction. He was laughing at me yet again! I looked at him with mock anger and pouted until I realized what I was doing and ran up the stairs holding my hair, successfully getting into my room this time.
