Nora wakes up with a pounding headache. She could feel her pulse in her temples as she groans and pries her eyes open. Sleeping right next to her couch in a chair Is Henry himself. Though a pang of remembrance rolls her as she sees his slight frown. Last night comes back in waves and Nora finds herself more confused than she is upset. He wouldn't sleep all night in a chair right next to me if he didn't care. Nora pushes tangled hair from her face as Henry starts to stir. Nora pulls her blankets around her shoulders as she sits up, rubbing sleep from her eyes.

"Nora?" Henry asks sleepily as he rolls his head to the side, and yawns. Nora can't help but smile softly at him as she opens his own eyes, smiling at her before it drops off his face as last night hits him like a train.

"Oh my God, Nora!" Henry says suddenly wide awake as she scrambles to her side, sitting next to her on the couch. Nora's eyes widen slightly as he attacks her in a hug. She falls back slighting, the arm of the couch stopping her from falling on her back. She squeaks as he wraps his arms around her slim waist. "I am so sorry about last night. I was helping my mom and I completely lost track of time, there are no windows in the vault and-" Nora sighs in relief as he rambles. He didn't hate her, or not care about her, he just lost track of the time. Nora wraps her arms around his neck, pulling him closer and her blanket falls off of her shoulders and bunches at her waist.

"It's fine, Henry. I was just worried that I annoyed you or-" A sharp pain pulses through Nora's head as she winces and groans. Henry pulls back when she raises her hands to her head, another sharp wave of unbearable pain. She squeezes her eyes shut as she whimpers. Henry grabs her forearms, his eyes darting around her face in panic.

"What's wrong, Nora? What's happening?" The strongest wave of all washes threw Nora as she doubles over in agony, her hands clutching the side of her head.

"MOM! GRANDMA! GRANDPA!" Is the last thing Nora hears before going black, falling limp, and drifting off to her unblocking memories.

Rumple's castle many years ago

"RUMPYYYYY!" Young Mabel yells, her voice echoing and bouncing off the thick stone walls.

"RUMPY!" Mabel yells again, growing inpatient. He said he would be back an hour ago. Her play room was cramped and she wanted to go outside today.

"RUMP-" The familiar whoosh and swirl of ominous purple magic fills the small stone room stuffed with stuffed animals and a china tea set.

"Yes, deary?" Rumplestiltskin says, as Mabel crosses her little arms over her chest. Mabel looks over his blood covered apron as she sighs.

"You said I could go outside and play today." The little girl notes as Rumple represses an annoyed groan.

"That's before I got busy, deary." Mabel frowns and pouts her lip out.

"Your- play thing- isn't going again where, I get older every minute." Mabel says walking towards him. "And you can only enjoy playing pretend for so long." Rumple shakes his head.

"I have things to do-"

"RUMPY!" Mabel says trying to appeal to his fatherly side.

"THATS THE END OF IT, MABEL!" A blast of magic sends Mabel on her butt on top of a pile of fluffy stuffed bunnies. Mabel scowls as she sniffles.

"FINE!" Mabel tells back, red in the face as Rumple exits the same way he entered, magic. She sighs looking at the room with no windows or doors, it hadn't bothered her until she learned there was so much more out there. Even at seven years old she knew this. With little thought, Mabel enchanted her favorite kitten stuffed animal to come to life. The rag dolls, enveloped in a yellow haze, reemerges as a Snow White kitten. Mabel smiles and picks it up in her hands, petting it behind the ears.

"At least I have my magic to keep me company." Mabel says as she stroked the kitten. It mews and purrs as she curls up with it in the corner of the small enclosed stone room.

"Even if you aren't real." Mabel whispers quietly to the kitty as she listens to the sounds the kitten makes, and her own heart beat.

The scene changes molding into another vision of the young little girl. This time it takes place outside of the castle, in the same clearing in the forest she was later kidnapped in. This time the sun illuminated the shape and made everything from the creek near by to the wild flowers all over the clearing glisten brighter and reach up towards it.

"Elizabeth?" Mabel calls into the cleaning as she appears between the brush. "Hello?" Another little girl, this one with raven hair leans around a tree trunk to peer at who ever is calling her name.

"Mabel." Elizabeth says as she darts from around the trees and over to the worried Mabel. The strawberry blonde hugs the raven haired child, only two years her elder.

"I'm so sorry, Lizzy!" Mabel says desperately as her eyes water and she clings onto Elizabeth's ragged apron. "I didn't think he would get your father fired from the printing shop!" Elizabeth sighs, she is one of eight children being taken care of by a single, low income father. They depended on that job and Mabel and screwed them over- big time. Looking down at Mabel with her narrow almond eyes, Elizabeth pats her back.

"I-I know." She says hesitantly as Mabel cries on to her shoulder. "But that's not why I'm here." Elizabeth says as she peels Mabel off of her like a sweaty shirt.

"I came to tell you I can't... be your friend anymore." Mabel's hazel eyes widen as she falls to the ground.

"N-no! I'm sorry! I didn't mean for him to find out we were friends! Rumpy is cruel but I could get him to get your father's job back! I-I-I need you!" Mabel clings on to Elizabeth's tanned olive hands. "Please! If that doesn't work I could run away! You're my only friend Lizzy! P-please don't do this to me! I didn't ask to be raised by this man!" Elizabeth wrenches her hand away from Mabel like it burned her to be touched by her old friend any longer. As Elizabeth cradles her hand to her chest her own eyes water.

"And cause me and my family more trouble than you already have? You once told me you had a talent for getting into trouble and now I see it. So do me a favor and never contact me again. That's what my father asks as well as all my siblings and myself." A sob wracks Mabel's body as her shoulders shake and her lips tremble. A salty river running down both of her red chubby cheeks.

"Lizzy, I-" Mabel croaks out as she violently rubs tears from her eyes.

"Good bye, Mabel." Elizabeth said plainly before turning on her heels and exiting the clearing. That was the last Mabel ever heard from Elizabeth, even after she heard about her father's death.

The scene shifts once more to a seemingly boring occurrence. The girl, Mabel, sat at a never ending dining table that could hold an army and then plus some in the most grand dining hall you have ever seen, completely and utterly alone. All the lights out excluding the one candelabra in front of her. Her blank face, and emotionless psyche just makes it even more sad. She was used to being alone in such a big palace, she had convinced herself she didn't mind the emptiness, except she did. And it brought the purple bags under her beautiful hazel eyes and the slight down turn on her lips when she looked out the window. She wasn't happy, and she never thought she could be.
