☆~

It was a normal day, waking up and feeling the sun shine down on my face, except for the massive ass of a hungover I had from the company party last night. As if I came home like my mom wasn't trying to kill me or my dad wasn't gonna give another thousand lectures about staying out late. But I'm an adult..I can handle myself however I want to be, this was just one of them.

I stayed in my bed for an extra five minutes before the smell of pancakes filled up my nose and I finally rose from my bed, checking my body in the tall mirror I had against my wall. My tanned skin pressed against my night shorts as I turned in different angles in a smile.

"Not bad." I sighed before walking inside the bathroom. I didn't have much of a routine, cleaning and rubbing my face with lotion. I left my room in a heartbeat once I ran down the stairs, watching my mom's head lift then a frown tugging at her pinkish, plump lips.

"I still have to talk to you about your little trip from last night." She said, flipping two pancakes and a couple pieces of bacon onto my plate before sliding it across the table. The house wasn't huge but it was enough to look like a mansion.

"I know, but I haven't been anywhere but the party. Promise" I have a couple of siblings, but since they're not here right now it's been..sorta quiet. I sent her a quick smile before opening my phone, finding two messages. One from Maya and the other from Brayden

"𝘏𝘦𝘺, 𝘵𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦, 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶" I smiled from the text. Brayden was always careful and gentle of me, which is why he's never tried to touch me without me wanting to do so. If I ever wanted to do something, he'd let me do it with full attention. Which is why I love him.

"𝘜𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘬 𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘦𝘴." My eyes rolled but I chuckled anyway. Maya was mostly loving but always annoying when she wanted to be, which is why I'm in this situation now.

A quick pair of soft hands wrapped around from behind me and warm lips pressed against my temple, smelling the scent of my dad's cologne.

"Hey." He said, ruffling my hair with a smirk as he walked over and kissed my mom's cheek, my face cringing from the action.

"Gross, not in front of me." I groaned, hearing they're giggles from the kitchen as I grabbed my plate and sat down in a chair. I shoved almost everything down before standing up and sighing.

"I'm going out for work in a bit." I called, putting my dishes in the sink before running up the stairs. Before they could approve, I've changed into a quick black, short dress and a coat. Simple as that. I pulled my hair back in a slick bun before grabbing my keys, going back down stairs and heading out the door.

Driving to work was easy, but it had some obstacles from other people. I worked at some type of business, but it was a huge building. I had parked the car and headed inside the door, thinking of nothing but working and getting straight back home. But something was different. I went inside the elevator, waiting to hear a ding before I headed inside my office, seeing my assistant there.

"Hey how've you been? we've had an offer from another company, here's the files." She said, her red lips pulling upwards for her pearly whites as she handed me the papers.

"When can I meet the owner?" I said, shuffling through the papers before setting them down on my desk. I've been offered multiple times, but for some reason none of them was good as this one.

"You can meet him, now." A rough, deep voice was hidden behind me. Followed by a husky scent of cologne, making my insides feel needy.

"Hello, Victoria." My name rolled off his tongue as I turned my head to see the figure, my eyes meeting his dark ones. Practically gazing over his chiseled jaw-line and his strong frame. His eyebrows we're thick but just slim enough. So 𝘦𝘹𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤. He's someone I've never thought I'd see before, but I can't have him. For business reasons.

"And you are?" I say.
