Alex wasn't joking, as I soon found out. Lucy and I sat together on one of the loveseats surrounding the fire pit. Some guys were standing behind us, but most of the group was also sitting down, lightly mingling and taking in the warmth of the fire. I looked down into my cup, and sure enough, I barely had any left. "I'm going inside to get a refill, anyone wanna come?" I asked, looking around the group. "'I'm coming in to take a piss," Jack said, as he stood, accidentally knocking Cole's full cup over. "Well, I guess I have to fucking go too now," he said, rising from his spot in a foldable chair that looked to be at least 10 years old.

"So, Evelyn, how has your first day been?" Jack asked me, nudging my shoulder.

"It's been really fun. All the guys are so nice, and your parents have been so welcoming. Thank you so much for being so nice to me." I told him. Even if it's just been a day, I'm seriously starting to like hanging out with these guys.

"Of course, Ev. My parents already love you. Beware though, my mom already thinks you'd be perfect for Lukey."

"Who's Lukey?" If there are even more guys coming to this house, that means even more names to memorize and even more guys to be around. Oh no.

"Luke, he's my younger brother. He's meeting us at the bar tomorrow night with some of his other friends he went to college with, but most of them are only staying for a week." Jack told me. "He's a good guy, Ev, but maybe you're a bit out of his league. My mom goes crazy for that stuff sometimes. She really wishes she had a daughter."

That makes me smile. "Your mom seems like a great woman, Jack. I would be happy to get to know her more." Jack smiles and wraps his arm around my shoulder, shaking me lightly as we walk. I've come to find out that a lot of these boys are very touchy, but I don't mind it. Once we finished refilling our drinks and Jack was done in the bathroom, the three of us headed back to the seats and walked into a very heated debate.

"Okay, perfect, Evelyn's back. She'll be on my side no matter what. Right, Ev?" Lucy practically yells at me.

"Oh, for sure, Lucy. What is it?" I ask her, looking around at the boys all sitting on some form of chair now.

"Between the three Hughes boys, Jack is the fuck and Quinn is the marry, right?" She continued. Of all the things that I expected her to say, this was not it.

"How do I even respond to that?" I laugh.

"C'mon, you're only saying that because Luke isn't here yet. You know the right answer. I said fuck Luke and marry Quinn, but Matty said fuck Quinn, marry Luke." Trevor told me.

"How is this a conversation you guys are even having? Are you sure you're all straight?" I couldn't hold in my laughter.

"Just Answer the question, Kells," Turcs yelled across the fire. I buried my face in my hands before peeking through my fingers at the two Hughes boys that I had met. I could tell my face was bright red as I thought about my decision.

"I guess I agree with Lucy? I haven't even met Luke, how can I pick him?"

"Trust me, Luke's so dreamy." Trevor swooned, which made me burst out laughing. "Dude, what is it with you and Luke? Also, I'm so honored that you chose me to be your husband, Kells." Quinn smiled at me, obviously joking.

"Alright, who's up for some truth or dare?" Cole asked.

"How old are you guys?" I asked. "Could you not think of anything better than truth or dare?"

"Trust me, truth or dare can be very fun. If it's so easy, how about you go first?" Jack asked me. "If you decide to not do your dare or tell the truth, you drink."
