We walk in the mall. I'm super excited to have had such a great last day of school. But then things end up weird. We passed by Vince, a guy who I had liked for a year, and since he bumps into me, he tries to apologize.
"Sorry Tina, didn't mean for that to happen... " he pauses for a second, ".. Um anyways I guess I'll see you later. "
"MY NAME'S NOT TINA, DICKWAD" I shout out to him. He knows my name isn't Tina but he calls me that to piss me off. We were originally best friends all throughout middle school but a lot has changed since then. Oh well, I have my boyfriend whom I love very much. His name is Cedric and he's perfect for me. Most of my friends find him unattractive or whatever but I don't care about that. He's the greatest bf I've ever had so who are they to complain?
Speaking of Cedric, he's asked me out to dinner tonight. He says it's very important. He told me he has something very important to tell me. I wonder what it is. It can't be a proposal because he's the one who initiated the idea of a relationship where we don't rush things too fastly or commit too early. And it can't be that he'd want to break up with me, he loves me dearly. Both of my parents love him to death as if he's their own son. He's just...perfect. He's everything I've ever wanted if not more better.
I have a letter from earlier during school from him that says, "you're just as beautiful as the day we met, my love. Xoxo, Cedric" AGHHHHH I LOVE HIM!!! As I reread the letter over and over again, Victoria scoffs and laughs.
"Still swooning over lover boy's daily love letter? " She laughs. She takes the letter, reads it, and rolls her eyes. Mainly because she doesn't believe in true love because of all the heartbreak she's gone through from unreliable men.
"You guys are so weird. But I love you guys together. You guys are the perfect example of real love. " Victoria says. Victoria has always thought of our love as weird because she's never experienced her own true love. I truly pray for the girl... I really do.
We continue shopping and me and Victoria go to get an Orange Julius and Pretzel from the food court. It's always an amazing yet nostalgic taste for me. Then we go into Victoria's Secret for some undergarments and as we get out and go towards another store, I see someone familiar. And then a light pops in my head. Eddie Vedder. It's most likely he won't care about a nobody like me so me and Victoria internally fangirl but externally present ourselves as nonchalant shoppers in the mall. But then as we are looking at all the cute tops and stuff, I feel a comforting hand tap my shoulder gently and I turn around and Eddie Vedder is behind me and speaks to me.
"Excuse me, do you know of something that'd be a great gift for a gorgeous girl? There's a gorgeous girl I'm trying to surprise with a gift but I'm not sure what exactly to get. You got any reccomendations? " He asks calmly. Of course he has a girlfriend. He was Eddie Vedder, any woman would want him even simply just for the fame. I smile sweetly at him and give him a suggestion.
"I would personally think either flowers or something that you know she'd love. Like for example for flowers, let's say her favorite was tulips, my personal favorite. Or say she was a girl like me who loves to read, maybe try to get her a book she's always wanted. " I reply back. He seems intrigued.
Finally, he says, "Thanks so much! By the way, what is your name, if you don't mind me asking? " Then I reply, "The name's Sabrina, Eddie. " I say this all matter of family and with the highest self confidence yet. Intrigued by my confidence, he laughs. He seems like he wants to talk to me. Why though?
"Well it's fun chatting with you, but I must go. Can I get your phone number? So we can stay in contact? You seem like a great friend! " He seems genuine about this. Why does he wanna talk to me so much? Is he genuinely interested in being friends? Or here to expose me of anything personal and use it to laugh at me with everyone? I'm so confused. I give him my phone number then leave confidently after saying one final thing.
