"Pound it!"

"Care to catch a movie instead of bad guys sometime for a change, M'lady?" Chat Noir suggested. Another akuma defeated as the civilians of Paris cheered for their heroes. Ladybug anxiously looked down at her yoyo, checking the time while Chat Noir tried to take the other one to land a kiss at the back.

Taking his invitation as a joke and proceeding to flick his nose, Ladybug turned away, getting ready to go their separate ways. "Verry funny, Kitty Chat, but I'm on a tight schedule. See ya!"

Chat Noir sighed, dejected, looking down to the crowd that was slowly dissipating. "Any time, I'll be here all night, folks..."

Passively checking his baton, he noticed that he was actually late for class! An akuma appearing at the beginning of the day was so rare that he forgot what time of day it was.

Having been rejected by Ladybug before, he tried his best to keep things amicable and stop fantasizing. But every time he sees her in action, he can't help but miss the flirtatious banter they used to have before Ladybug realized he meant what he said.

So much time has passed since then. They're adults now, 18 years old, and almost through with high school. Over the time, Ladybug seemed to have forgotten about her partner's past feelings, reverting to taking his flirting as a joke.

He landed behind the school, quickly de-transforming as he ran to his classroom. He was ready to forget about the slight rejection he endured, but a small, big mouth creature couldn't let it go.

"So we're doing this again? Are you going to re-download all the pictures of ladybug you used to stare at all day?" His remark was delivered with an unveiled level of judgment that made Adrian roll his eyes.

"It's not like that, Plagg. I just want to spend more time with her, that's all. Now hide!"

Both heroes managed to get to class in time, and the day proceeded smoothly until Adrien received a text and Marinette received a note from Chloé asking them both to meet by the lockers at lunchtime.

"What could she possibly want?" Adrien mumbled, turning his phone to show Nino. The two friends were hanging out on the courtyard as Nino practiced some skateboard tricks, waiting for Alya and Marinette to then go to the cafeteria.

"I don't know, man, but can't be anything good. Just ignore her."

"Yeah, but if it really is another bad idea of hers, i could maybe talk her out of it." Having already decided, he got up ready to make his way to the lockers.

"You're a nicer man than me, dude..." Nino simply shook his head, continuing his practice only for Mr. Damoclés to yell from the second floor, reminding him about the rule of no skating on school grounds.

Reaching the locker room, Adrien found Chloé leaning on his locker, a smirk on her face.

"What do you want Chloé?" He made sure to keep his expression cold, keeping a good distance between them.

"Why so hostile, Adrakins? I just want to talk to you..." She trailed off, her eyes darting from the door to Adrien, waiting for a certain set of pigtails to appear behind the frosted glass.

"About what exactly?" He crossed his arms impatiently, already regretting his decision to come here.

"Well, you know... about this and that, reminisce a bit. About old days." She clearly wasn't fully paying attention to him, slowly growing frustrated that maybe Marinette ignored her note.

"Well, get to it, i don't have all day Chloé." Growing impatient, Adrien started to pull back.

Before he could turn away from the girl that clearly had nothing of substance to say, a familiar pigtailed silhouette appeared, making Chloé jump to grab him.
