THIRD PERSON'S VIEW

Blane had been busy going on a date with her two bosses, which is why she didn't remember her plans with Sandra. Blane was worried that Sandra might be mad at her for ghosting her, but she couldn't help it. The date had been going so well that she had completely lost track of time.

She didn't want to make things worse by being honest and telling Sandra that she had been on a date with her two bosses. She also didn't want to lie and risk getting caught in a lie later on if Sandra found out the truth herself.

But, Blane has no choice left but to find an excuse.

Blane: I am SO sorry, Sandra! Geez, I completely forgot about our meet up. I lost track of time. And my boss wanted to have a small meeting regarding about our latest work.

Blane actually just randomly came up with that excuse. A bit shitty one, I'd say. Lmao. It's a Saturday. Who works on a Saturday?

About a minute or so, Sandra sent a reply to Blane.

Sandra: It's okay, Blane. I understand. Work can be pretty hard, I know.

Sandra's next message was an understanding one.

Sandra: It's okay, I was just worried, but I understand. I know your work can be quite demanding. But I  understand.

It seemed like Sandra had forgiven Blane for missing the meet up. However, the subtle hint of annoyance was still there, but it had definitely been tempered by her understanding nature.

And after that reply, Blane was about to message Sandra again but then Sandra again, sent a message.

Sandra: Yeah, I totally did not just drive a FEW miles just to see you but you did not even show up.

Blane was taken aback from Sandra's response. Sandra was an understanding person, not like this one.

Is Sandra hacked? Blane thought to herself, thinking of a reply to the message.

Bing!

A notification again ringed, meaning Sandra again sent a message before Blane.

Sandra: I was just joking. Don't take it too seriously.

Phew.

Blane: it's ok lol. I didn't show up so we're even.

And after that, Blane has no intention of replying Sandra more after an exhausting day. She just want to lay down comfortably without thinking about Sandra nor her two bosses.

Blane's POV

I completely forgot about my meet up with Sandra today ugh! I didn't even realize I double booked myself. Ugh! And here I thought my day was going smoothly.

I just laid down on my bed. Not wanting to move from exhaustion.

At the office today seem to be giving the 'go-with-the-flow' vibe. Because today seems like everyone are pretty quiet. Even Verdy seems to be quiet. No annoying sounds, no updates, no nothing. Which also seems to be a relief and a little worrying.

I tried to get Verdy's attention "Psst, Pssttt, PSSTT—" "Oh my God, Blane, what?" She says with annoyance across her face. "Geez, you're so cranky early in the morning." I roll my eyes at her sudden outburst. "Sorry about that, on my period right now." She groans and slammed her head against her desk. "Oof. Well it's honestly better than you not having period." I joke. She groans at the thought of having a baby inside her. "Geez, no thank you." She groans yet again.

An hour later, I'm just spacing out in my desk. This day's getting boring and more boring as the time passes by. Then I see Darren rush to me. "Blane! The cute blonde is waiting for you in the lobby! He's holding flowers~"

"Wait, what? Really? Sandro's here?"
I said, a smile forming on my face.
"The name's Sandro, huh..well yeah he's at the lobby waiting for you." He says and points to where Sandro's standing. And when he sees me he raises his hand to wave.

I approach to where he's at. "Oh hi, Sandro. What's the occasion? Y'know, with the bouquet of flowers and all," I gesture to what he's holding. "I was just driving around on my way home but then I suddenly remember that we didn't hung out as much anymore so I decided to come over to your workplace again. It was just a coincidence that there's a flower shop around the corner." He says, smiling. He's got such a great smile. It perfectly suits his looks. "Awwh, that's so sweet of you. Thank you." I genuinely accept his flowers with a smile.

Then there's this comfortable silence for a few seconds. "Is it just me or you look extra prettier today, Blane?" He shifts nervously, trying to make a conversation. "You're just flattering me." A blush was creeping up on my face. "No seriously! You look amazing as ever." I just chuckle at his flattering remarks.

"So what do you say? We go hang out at a coffee shop around the corner and talk about our lives or are we just going to stand here?" He puts his hands inside his pockets. A simple habit he does when he's a little nervous.

Gosh, he's so adorable that I can't help but smile.

"I'm down,"
