Chapter 1; Homestead

Darkness was all one could see, it was chilling. A soft voice spoke as if they had a hoarse throat. "Beware for what you may find, for you shall never awake.". Jasper's body layed paralyzed as he tried to see where the voice had come from. His breath quickened as the voice got louder and louder until Silence. Then a faint voice is heard, as if in a panic. "Papa! Papa wake up!" Then Jasper awoke to his daughter yelling is his face, he couldnt be happier. The comfort of his room and his queen sized bed, with his big grey blanket. Jasper yawned before speaking, then clearing his throat."Whats the matter Honey?" Jasper asked sounding tired. Honey's face gleemed with excitement that her Papa was awake then went back to a pout. "I want food!~" she whined. Jasper gave out a small giggle, "Okay Hunbun, ill get you some pancakes? How does that sound?" Jasper spoke trying to be filled with excitement. Then he sat up, his hand on her back to keep her from falling over. She squirmed out and ran out of the room, Jasper got up quickly to 'chase' her. Honey ran down the hall and under their kitchen table. "Papa will no find me here.." She spoke quietly holding back laughter. Jasper went stomping into the kitchen acting like a big dinosaur. "Fee fie foe fum! Ive come for a little kiddo who wants some chum!" Jasper yelled in a playful tone, he stomped around looking around then he spotted her. "Hm, i guess shes just not in here." Jasper spoke as he then slowly started to leave the room. Honey jumped out from under the table and hugged his leg, all while giggling. "I got you, papa!" Honey exclaimed, Jasper picked her up, then let out a sigh with a smile. "Yup you got me. Alright hunbun, Papas got to make some food so your tummy is full." Jasper said softly as he set down Honey in a chair. Honey huffed but she knew that she needed to be patient to get food. Then Jasper tied back his black curly hair is a messy bun with the nearest hairtie, he only had on his stained up light gray tank top, dark blue boxer shorts, and his comfy dino slippers. He wanted to match with Honey since she has small pink ones. Jasper put on his light blue apron and got out the frying pan as well as a bowl with the utensils he'll need. He then whipped up the pancake batter and mixed in cut up bananas. After he was done he got out Honey's Bluey plate with a Bluey spork. Jasper set the plates up nicely putting syrup on her plate and then sat down to eat as well. Though Honey had to move her coloring book and all her crayons that she laid across the table. "Papa we go to park today?" Honey spoke her mouth full of food. Jasper let out a sigh then smiled "Honey dont talk while you have food in your mouth, you could choke. Papa has work today so im gonna take you over to Nanny's, but maybe after we can, okay?" Jasper spoke softly then proceeded to finish his food. Honey frowned but understood she needed to be patient "Okay Papa, I done." Honey held her plate in the air hoping her Papa will grab it. Jasper got up grabbing both their plates to clean them up, while Honey continued to color. "Hunbun go get dressed for Nanny's" Jasper said as a side note while he finished the dishes. Honey bolted like a bunny out the kitchen towards her room. Jasper put the last dish on the rack, then headed towards his room. He then got into his uniform which is a black button up and slacks. Honey then ran in with her bluey backpack, "Okay I ready!" . Jasper turned towards where she stood "Alright HunBun lets go". Honey insisted on being picked up so Jasper held her while they walked to Nanny's.
