Despite his mind being flooded with thoughts he wished he didn't have, Gray managed to calm down and finally went back to acting like his normal self, at least for now.

He moved his finger to close the portal he opened before and then turned to Lola, now asking her where she wanted to go. Lola had, in fact, waited untill he closed the first portal. Not even Gray knew where the first portal would have sent them to.

- "A portal so we can be in the brawlball field? Please."

She said, as Gray noded his head and then made the same movement with his finger and opened a new portal, now with an actual destination. They both had brawlball matches that day after all.

They both stepped into the portal before disappearing, and then reappearing right in the entrance of the brawlball fields.

Once there Lola began walking inside, not waiting for Gray or even saying thanks to him for the portal. He followed behind her after a second.

....

Meanwhile, in the Snowtell, the already known grumpy penguin boss was yelling at his employees, thing that was more than normal.

Lou entered the hotel, after having a small talk with the authorities, looking around the place.

At the sight of what was happening, the friendly robot approached his boss with his characteristic smile, though, clearly more nervous than usual.

- "Hey boss! I- uhm-.. i don't think this is the time to be yelling at others, you know? We just had a little.. accident... I think it's best if we're just nice to each other!"

He said, his smile disappearing for a moment and clearly trying to hide that he was actually scared about what happened to Gale. After all, he was the unfortunate one who found the body, while getting out of the hotel just to pick the newspaper.

And even yet, he still tried to keep that smile on his face. Despite how hard it might be.

Mr. P pushed him away slightly, and even when barely people understood him, Lou understood perfectly that he told him to go back to work. As if what happened to Gale didn't even happen.

That bothered Lou, but he wasn't the kind of robot who liked to create troubles. So for more that he hated it, he went to start his shift. He started walking towards the guests rooms, going to check if everyone was doing fine or needed anything.

On the way there, he started to remember what happened that morning. Not like it was going to be easy to forget after all.

...

It was early in the morning, Lou was waking up with joy, ready to start the day.

He checked his internal systems, making sure everything was doing fine. Once he did so, he began checking the daily schedule to see if everything was alright, wich it was.

He went outside, going to pick the newspaper and then go backpack to the hotel to start his shift.

Everything was going alright that morning. The wind blowing in his face since they were literally on the top of a mountain, but don't bothering him at all.

It was supposed to be another normal day at the Snowtell.

And then he spotted a strange figure where one of the trees was. Something was hanging from it. The silhouette was hard to divise due to the leafs around it.

He walked towards it, and then froze in place, dropping the newspaper he had in hands. A feeling of dread washing over him.

He saw Gale's body hanging from the tree, a rope around his neck. His chest was stained in blood, obviously being the reason why there was a puddle of blood in the ground, right under him. The blood staining the snow from the place.
