Changying was born to a wealthy family but was abandoned by her parents, as they were young and didn't really loved each other, so Changying was adopted by Luomen. Changying grew up kind and gentle, at the age of 13, Changying was given the opportunity to be a courtesan.
She became close with the 3 princesses of the Verdigris House, at age 17, she became the fourth princess of the Verdigris House and was very well liked, until that tragic incident that traumatized her.

After that day, Changying mostly stayed in her room, practicing instruments, singing or dancing. She became the second favorite consort of the emperor and is very close to Gyokuyou, Gyokuyou feels like to protect Changying as she sees Changying like her little sister, considering Changying is a year younger than her.
Then Maomao was taken and worked as a servant for the palace, but was happy to learn that Changying was doing well and became happy that she became an auntie. This will be and interesting journey for Changying and everyone else.
