Princess Alexandria walked down the aisle, the gold accents of her white wedding dress shimmering from the beams of sun coming from above, where there were windows illuminating the marble wedding hall.

A vail masked her face as she approached her soon to be husband.

She had not known this man before this day as it were her parents who had betrothed her to him.

She had only ever heard his name in mentioning, but she had never seen him in person.

She finally approached the stage where he stood, and she stood across from him.

"In the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit."

Said the priest who stood between them holding the holy book the Bible.

"Amen"

the crowd said in unison

"Grace to you and peace from God our father and the Lord Jesus Christ."

The priest stated.

"And with your spirit."

The crowd finished.

The priest said in the opening prayer, then a reading from the Bible.

There was a girl in the crowd named Aurora.

She was also a princess and best friends with the bride. She tried to hide her boredom as the priest went on and on with the reading.

"Christ abundantly blesses the love that binds you. Through a special sacrament, he enriches and strengthens those he has already consecrated by holy baptism, that you may be enriched with his blessing, so that you may have the strength to be faithful to each other forever, and assume all the responsibilities of married life. And so, in the presence of the church, I ask you to state your intentions"

The words slipped out of the priest's mouth like he'd set it 100 times before and each time he'd said it, he said it perfectly.

"Princess Alexandria and Prince Luther , have you come here to enter into marriage without coercion and wholeheartedly?"

Said the priest now turning his attention to the couple.

"I have"

Said them both in reply.

"Are you prepared, as you follow the path of marriage, to love and honor each other for as long as you both shall live?" The priest stated while closing his Bible, He had unconsciously left it open.

"I am."

They both said, Alexandria said it in a more shaky voice this time.

"Since it is your intention to enter the covenant of Holy Matrimony, join your right hands, and declare your consent before God and his Church."

The couple who had just met on this day adjoined their right hands.

"I, Luther , take you, Princess Alexandria , to be my wife. I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love you and to honor you all the days of my life."

He said his suit was pure white, which blinded the princess.

"I, Alexandria, take you, Prince Luther , to be my husband. I promise to be faithful to you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love you and to honor you all the days of my life."

She said in reply, will try not to close her eyes too much due to the suit glowing in the sun.

"May the Lord in his kindness strengthen the consent you have declared before the Church and graciously bring to fulfill his blessings within you. What God has joined, let no one put asunder. May the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, the God who joined together our first parents in paradise, strength and bless in Christ the consent you have declared before the Church, so that what God joins together, no one may put asunder. Let us bless the Lord."

The priest said with a projected voice to reach all of the people in the hall.

"Thanks be to God."

The crowd replied.

All the crowd, except for Aurora.

Aurora, who had just sat there silently.

Aurora, whose eyes were now Glossy and overfilling.

She blinked hundreds of times, attempting to hold the tears back.

She lightly patted her eyes with her silk gloved hands, while not trying to ruin her intricate makeup

But do not be mistaken..

Aurora wasn't crying for her friend.

She was crying, knowing that later that day she would also be married and all the freedom in her life would be taken away,

Her friend, Alexandria, had accepted her fate, but she? she could not.

But alas, she had no choice in the matter.

She was betrothed and in her eyes chained to her future husband before she was even born.

After her friend had finished the ceremony Aurora was taken away back to her home to get ready for her wedding which would take place later that day.

Aurora sat looking at the mirror in front of her as servants adorned her with pearls and diamonds of all different sorts and sizes.

Her eyes were glazed over, staring at herself in the mirror.

Her long white ivory hair was tied back to reveal her white pearl irises.

She went aboard a carriage that was being led by four white horses.

Aurora looked down at herself during the ride, she fiddled with the silver pearls attached to her black dress.

She occasionally glanced outside to the window that was to a right.

She could see the sun hovering above the horizon.

She looked at it, knowing that by the time it was set, she would already be married.
