Panda eyes. They're cute unless they're on a person. And who's that? Kim Sunhwa.

She couldn't fall asleep after whatever rushed meeting she and Ham Dan-I, the Brownie, had yesterday.

Ham Dan-I told her that not only Dae Dam is missing, but apparently, they're living inside a fucking novel.

In a surprise, she said she wanted to call her friend and ask her friend if her friend felt anything different. But when she called her friend, the line went dead instead.

Kim Sunhwa remembered how,

She and Ham Dan-I looked at each other and she called her friend again and again and again. Her hands started to tap the call button harder and harder, wishing her hand could enter the screen and reach her missing friend.

Ham Dan-I had to separate her hands from the phone before it cracked from her sudden strength.

"Let go. Let go!"

dduk─ The phone dropped to the table.

They sat in silence for a moment. Kim Sunhwa has her hands on her face so Ham Dan-I couldn't see her expression. She didn't even make a sound, it was just silence.

Ham Dan-I sat beside her, quietly letting her know she was there for her.

Kim Sunhwa sighed and said, "It's fine, it's fine."

Kim Sunhwa put her hands down and she looked... fine. Everything is okay. She's not the only one experiencing this. The girl beside her probably also lost some things precious to her.

"Are you really okay...?" Ham Dan-I asked, her voice laced with concerned hesitance.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." Kim Sunhwa nodded, trying to convince them she's okay.

"Then I'll continue."

They stopped their conversation after they noticed how late it was.

Ham Dan-I yawned.

"I think I should leave. You must be tired." Kim Sunhwa said as she got up from the kitchen chair.

They didn't really do anything other than talking about what's happening to them. Even after all of the talking and guessing why this happened to them particularly, Kim Sunhwa still hasn't fully absorbed the fact that they had basically transmigrated into an alternate universe where they lost and found some people...? It was really weird.
