ashlyns pov

my parents forgot to pick me up from ballet class, and it was getting late. have they forgotten about me? I try to ignore the stupid thought but I couldn't. maybe they did forget about me. I stand up, and pick my bag up. I put my headphones on and wait for a text from a certain person. he never texted, oh well... I begin to walk home until I hear a small meow. i take my headphones off and slowly walk towards the cat. I'm never the type of person to just.. randomly walk up to a sound. something was telling me to go near it. so I did, I found it was a small cat, a calico cat.. i know im not supposed to pet or pick up any stray animals but i felt bad leaving it. I check my phone to see if getting later. I don't wanna leave the cat but I also don't wanna stay outside. I hear my phone notification go off, it's a text from aiden.

Aiden:) - ashhhh? y r u outside? u were supposed to b homeÓ⁠╭⁠╮⁠Ò

you - my parents forgot to pick me up so i walked home. I'll be fine.

Aiden:) - look bhind you(⁠◠⁠‿⁠◕⁠)

ash looks behind her to aiden. she flinches slightly,,""what the fuck-"",, she says quietly,
the calico cat is still besides her. aiden looks down at the cat and chuckles,,""LOL why do you have a cat with you?"",, ashlyn picks the cat up and stares at it for quite some time. ,,'"ash? are you alright??"",, ashlyn looks at aiden and nods. ,,'"can you stay here with the cat?"",, she gives the cat to aiden. ,,""yeah why tho"",, aiden says. ,,""just stay here mkay??"",, Ashlyn says. a few minutes after, she comes back with cans of cat food. ash takes the cat and opens a can of cat food for her. she picks her stuff up along with the cat. ,,""want me to walk with you?'",, aiden says. ash pauses and nods. they both walk home together with the cat.
