"I'M SO EXCITED!" moriah screams into the phone. "yeah, i can tell" i joke, causing a scoff for her side, before she begins again. "this year is gonna be my year, like academic comeback and everything, you know how my mother gets"
"you said that last year, and then got distracted by brandt and didn't focus!" she huffs "anyways, all i'm saying is this year we put our heads down and actually work, this is middle school. and stop spilling my secrets carmen, we all know you were drooling over long"
"was not! he's a total dick!" i snap back, raising my voice a lil "totally was! but yes he is a dick so ACADEMIC COMEBACK WHOOP WHOOP! no more boys no more trouble just us" moriah replies, earning a hum of agreement on my end
"MORIAH, GIVE ME THE PHONE I NEED TO CALL NA!" i hear a faded voice of maya shout. "oh yeah, hows maya and anna doing?" "fucking wierdos man - HOLD ON MAYA. love them but i get scared when they come i my room and roleplay as dolls"
"understandable" i remark as we laugh, the phone line suddenly cutting. "okay then.." i whisper to myself, finally deciding to shut down for the night, maybe this year we will get our academic comeback we have been talking about for five years...

MY alarm blares in my ear, awakening me from my beautiful dream. "one day you will lead me to insanity" i mumble to the inatimate object, silencing it with my hand as i walk to do my basic hygiene, before doing my makeup routine.
i then change into my outfit, deciding to wear a pair of low rise jeans and some random brandy top before i hear my sisters yell "CARMEN, YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES HURRY"
i rush to spray my coconut perfurme before grabbing my bag and practically bolting downstairs note to self : stop singing the smiths and acc get ready on time "hey madds, oh hey cassie!" i say, acknowledging the two "just on time, get your shoes on you lucky we ain't late"
"hey carmen!" cassie exclaims, hugging me before i rush to get my navy converse on, my sister and her friend going to get into the car as i grab my gum and run out
