𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐟 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟏

Lilanna's oldest siblings were home from boarding school for the summer so little 4-year-old Lilanna tried her hardest to spend as much time with them as possible, considering her other older brother Niko wasn't very good at his role as a big brother. Her parents were visiting her mother's parents in France for a week so their aunt Judy has been popping in once a day to make sure they're fed. The only reason she isn't staying and watching them is because she has a newborn at home and has a 9-5 job, so every day on her lunch she'll come around to make sure her sister's kids didn't kill each other.

Lila, Kimi, and Chris sat in front of the TV, watching whatever was on that morning when Niko, his best friend Francis Wilkerson, and Francis's younger brothers, Malcolm and Reese came running in the front door.

Malcolm was the same age as Lilanna and had seen her brother Niko a lot in his life. Reese was a year older than Malcolm and Lilanna. Reese was already in Kindergarten well Lila and Malcolm were going into junior kindergarten that September.

"You guys can stay here tonight if needed. My parents are in France visiting my grandparents" Niko said a little bit out of breath

"Ya, Thanks, man. I just hope the cops show up at my house after we ask" Francis says, also out of breath

"what the hell did you guys do?" Chris asks while leaning on the back of the couch that Lila and Kimi are sitting on, now looking at the boys standing at the front door

"Nothing," the boys all say in unison

"Okay whatever but if they're sleeping over make sure their parents know and you have to let your little sister play with you guys," Kimi says sounding a little too much like her mother

"what! why can't she just play by herself or with you guys?" Niko said sounding a little annoyed

"Because I work the night shift tonight and Kimi needs to work on some songs for our band but can't really do that with Lila talking non-stop about the star and shit," Chris says in a bit of a demanding tone

"Hey! The stars are really really cool okay!" Lila says, sticking her head out from the front of the couch

"AHHHH WHERE DID SHE COME FROM" Reese yells in stock, jumping back a little

"Right here, idiot" Lila sassed

Kimi looked at her little sister confused about where she learned that word, while Chris looked at her angrily "Sorry... who hi Francis!" Lilanna jumped off the couch and ran to hug him

"Hey Lil, how have you been sleeping?" 10-year-old Francis says picking her up and giving her a hug

Lilanna smiled at the nickname he had made for her. Francis has always been good to her. He was like another brother to her, and maybe even her favorite but she wouldn't let him that.

" Horrible!" Lilanna answered her question, as Francis (who was still holding Lilana) and the rest of the brothers started to walk to his house to ask to sleep over and grab their things.

"And why is that?" Francis says watching his younger brothers run down the street to their house. We've lived six doors down from each other our entire lives, how have I never met Francis's little brothers? Lilanna thought.
