Lexi pov
We all sat around the camp watching as Regina tried to teach Emma how to use her magic. Killian kept getting me more water to make sure I stayed hydrated. I take a sip of water and watch as Emma tries to start a small fire with magic
"Focus." Regina said "Concentrate."
"It's kind of hard when you're talking in my ear." Emma said
"And when the wind blows or it's raining, or... someone's shooting arrows at you." Regina said "Yes, concentration's hard." "That's the point." "Find your anger and use it to focus."
"No." Emma said "There has to be a way without going dark."
" You're such a pathetic waste of ability." Regina said
" And you're a monster." Emma said and I see smoke rising and I look at Regina's smug face.
"...Smell that?" Regina asked
"What?" Emma asked
"Smoke." Regina said Emma looks at the campfire, which has now lit
"This is a bad idea." David said
"She has it in her." Mary Margaret said "She should learn to use it." "We just have to trust her."
"Yeah, it's not Emma I don't trust" David said as I go over to Emma
"You ok?" I asked
"I'll be fine" Emma said
"Look I'm sure learning magic is frustrating, but I have yet to see you fail at something when you're determined Emma Swan" I said
"I'm not determined I'm pissed" Emma said
"Even better" I said with a smirk and I take another drink of water
"You doing ok?" Emma asked "This whole thing and your condition can't be easy" I sigh and set down my water
"Please if I didn't think I couldn't handle it I wouldn't be here" I said "I'm fine I promise" I look over and see David, Mary Margaret and Killian all huddled together. "Though I do wonder what those three are up to"
"Let's find out" Emma said and the two of us walk over to them
"Where you guys going?" I asked
"Firewood" Killian said
"To get water." David said
"Guys, what's going on?" Emma asked. Mary Margaret looks at Killian and David then at Emma and I
"Neal's alive." Mary Margaret said and I stare at her in shock..That can't be true can it? We saw Neal get shot and fall through a portal
"Neal i... is... Alive?" I asked
"Maybe." Mary Margaret said. She looks to David and Killian "Sorry, they deserved to know." I look at Killian and he avoids making contact with me. We follow Mary Margaret as she finds tracks and other evidence of someone being here
"This is a waste of time." Regina said "He's toying with us."
"I don't think so." Mary Margaret said "Look." "More scuffling." "Someone was definitely resisting."
"How do we know that means Neal?" I asked
"Well, then someone was fighting for his life." Regina said
"Are you two really going to fall for this?" Regina asked looking at Emma and I "Fine." "You wanna follow the Evil Munchkin's dirt road?" "Be my guest." She starts walking away from us
