Not a lot has changed while you were gone. It's been over 10 years since you've last set a foot into Tokyo Jujutsu High, but here you were. You left to follow a job offer in a city on the other side of Japan, but when Mr. Yaga called you to join the Academy as an assistant teacher, you couldn't resist. You've been wanting to teach for ages, so this was an opportunity not worth ignoring. What he didn't tell you was who you'd be working with.
A white haired, blue eyed man named Satoru Gojo. You knew Gojo from your own school years. You used to be a student at Kyoto High, until you transferred here. Arriving here wasn't easy for you, especially after everything that would happen between you and your now colleague.
Mr. Yaga only told you who you'd be working with when you were already there, at the school, and that piece of new information changed everything for you.
But you really wanted to stick around for this job. Maybe it would work out just fine?
So here you were, just around the corner of one of the classrooms. You heard Mr. Yaga talk to the students and their teacher. "From this day on, you'll have a new assistant teacher. She used to be a student here too and now she will be Gojos right hand, so please be respectful." A small silence of anticipation followed, before he called out "Please, come in!"
You took a deep breath, straightening your posture and entered the room. Your eyes immediately met with a tall, white haired man you were all so familiar with. Instead of the dark sunglasses you knew, he was wearing a black blindfold which kept his hair spiking upwards. Apart from that, he pretty much looked the same. Maybe a bit taller.
Gojos jaw dropped as he saw you, his mouth opening, but you decided to ignore him for now. Instead, you turned towards the 3 students, two boys and one girl. "Hello everyone, my name is.." - "No fucking way!" You were immediately interrupted by Gojo. Great start.
He came over to you, his mouth still agape before swinging his arm over your shoulders as if he was presenting you to his students. "Guys, this is my Ex!" Your eyes went wide. He didn't just say that.
Immediately, you pushed him away from you, making him tumble backwards. "Are you serious?" Taking a deep breath, you turned back to the students. "I am not his Ex. My name is Y/N Y/L/N. I used to be a student here and Mr. Yaga asked me to help out, so I am back."
The 3 Teenagers in front of you were still pretty confused about the whole situation, and of the corner of your eye you could see Gojo coming back to you. "I am pretty sure we used to date." He said in a teasing voice. He was already getting on your nerves.
"We had one date." You clarified to him before turning back to his students. "And just so you know, he spent pretty much the entire time talking about how cool he and his cursed techniques are and how powerful his ancestors were, so yeah, not worth my time." - "Ahww." Gojo pouted, bending down to your height. He has always been a goddamn giant. "So you're saying you didn't enjoy it?" You gave him a stern look. "Yes, I didn't enjoy the date." You put a warning finger to his chest. "And I'm pretty sure you remember, why I didn't enjoy it!" The tone of your voice was meaner than you anticipated. Gojos smile faded as he regained his posture. You just closed your eyes, embarrassed that you acted out like this in front of everyone. Sighing, you pinched the bridge of your nose. You haven't had a headache in ages, but this is what Satoru Gojo gave to people.
Headaches. Nothing else.
Silence filled the room, noone really sure what to say next. Mr. Yaga took the chance to head out. "I'm sure the both of you will work along just fine. Good luck!" And with that, you were left for your first day of work.
As soon as Mr. Yaga left the room, Gojo decided to be an actual teacher. He roughly introduced his students to you, just the names. Yuji Itadori, Megmumi Fushigoro, Nobara Kugisaki. The rest you would find out by yourself, he said. Great. Professional.
Since Gojo wanted to show you how well trained his students were, he decided to get the group outside to the training grounds to do some hand-to-hand combat training. You sat a bit farther away from the group, taking notes while Gojo introduced his students to the training plan. You watched them joke around and laugh, he really did have good connection to the kids. You never saw him as a teacher when you first met him, but apparently he was doing a not-so-bad job.
Soon enough, the students started their combat training and you watched them, taking notes of their capabilities.
You were so invested, you didn't notice a large figure walking up and sitting next to you until he was already there. *Please don't talk to me, please don't talk to me, please-* "So, you came back?" *Shit.*
"Well yeah, obviously." You answered, keeping your eyes on the students. "Mr. Yaga offered me this job. But I didn't know you were a teacher here by now." You skribbled down some messy notes. Mostly because you simply didn't want to look at Gojo. "I was honestly surprised when you walked through that door. Yaga told me I'd get some help." You heard him smirk. "I still don't know what for. I'm pretty great at what I do." You rolled your eyes in annoyance. He ignored it. "But I actually don't mind an Assistent. Especially if she's as pretty as you."
"First of all," you pointed your pen at him, still not looking up. "I'm not your Assistent. I'm Mr. Yagas Assistent, and your colleague. Keep that in mind. Second of all, I really want to keep this on a professional level, so stop your sweet talking. Think you can do that?" You finally looked up from your papers and your gaze met his blindfolded one. He was just smiling.
You clenched your jaw. Even with a piece of clothing covering half his face, he was straight up beautiful, especially upclose. This would be so much easier if he wasn't.
"It's gonna be tough, but I think I can do it." He answered, and you nodded in response. "Thank you." You looked back to the training grounds, taken aback what was happening. "You know, you should really look after your students. They might kill each other." Nobara was somehow clinging to Yojis head, ripping at his hair while he whined in pain. Megmumi seemed to be taking a video of it with his phone. "These kids..." Gojo laughed before running towards them. "Aye! What are you doing?! This is training , not daycare!"

By the end of the school day, you were sitting in the office Mr. Yaga assigned you. It was tiny, but in his words 'only temporary' so you made the best of it. You were busy writing your messy notes into an actual essay, when a knock at your door took you  out of your concentration. "Come in!" You called.
The door opened, spikes of white hair poking inside. "Hi you!" He said cheerful, entering your office. He dropped down on the chair in front of your desk, facing you with a sly smile. "So, how was your first day?" - "Well, it had a rough start." You answered, not looking up from your papers. "But the rest was alright. The students are...interesting personalities." Gojo chuckled at that comment. For a second, the two of you sat in silence, the only noice being your pen skribbling away on your papers. Suddenly he leaned forward on your desk, getting closer to you. You look at him for a short second, the big smile on his face making you look back down again immediately. "What do you want, Satoru?" In response, he hummed lightly. "I wanted to talk about earlier, y'know." You stopped writing, trying to figure out what he meant. He inched a bit closer. "I really do think, you enjoyed that date." Moving even closer, you could now feel his breath tickling your skin. He was smirking again. "And I'm sure you especially liked, how it ended."

Flashbacks flodded your mind.

Him, on top of you. His ragged breathing and soft moans next to your ear while you dug your nails into his back.
You, on top of him. His long fingers holding your thighs in place as his back arched in ecstasy.

Heat rushed to your face, so much you probably must've looked similar to a tomato. Gojo let out a deep chuckle, clearly satisfied. "See, I knew you remembered."
That's it. You've had enough. With force, you slammed your pen down on the table. Gojos smirk faded, surprised by your actions. "Since you obviously remember that part of the date so vividly, let me remind you how it actually ended." You snarled at him, looking up. Gojo let himself fall back into the chair, arms crossing over his chest. He knew what was coming. "The date actually ended with me, waking up the next morning in my bed, all by myself. No sight of you." You got angrier by the second, but it felt so good. This stuff sat inside you for all these years. It was time to let it out.
"There was no sight of you, not even a sock, hell, not even a strand of hair was left. I thought 'Hey, maybe there was an emergency of some kind.' So I went on with my day, waiting for a text or a call, just a sign you were still alive." You could see Gojo biting the inside of his cheek, his covered gaze fixated on the ground.
He was embarrassed.
Good.
"Then I started calling you, but only got your voicemail. I've tried calling you a couple times again. 4 days, I've tried to contact you. Do you remember how many times I tried to call you?" You stood up, propping your arms on your desk and staring at him intensely. He cleared his throat, then mumbled an incomprehensible number under his breath. That wasn't enough.
" I can't hear you, Satoru!" You actually raised your voice this time, making him flinch a little. "Thirty-seven." - "Exactly. I tried to call you thirty-seven times over the course of 4 days. I didn't know where you were, noone knew where you were." Your voice broke at the end. Taking a deep breath, you tried to calm yourself down. You weren't going to cry. Not now.
"I thought you were dead, you know?" The tone of your voice calmer now. Less angry. Just hurt.
"And then, after a week of worrying and crying and confusion, you finally called me again. You remember what you said?" Gojo didn't answer. For the first time since you've met him, Satoru Gojo was at a loss of words. "Okay, let me refresh your memory. Again, after a week of me being an emotional mess, you called me, and all you said was 'Sorry girl, it's not gonna work out.' And that was that."
Tears were pooling in your eyes by now. Your hurriedly stacked your papers together before stepping away from behind your desk. "When I say I want to forget about what happened, I mean it. Everything. Fresh start, as colleagues. Nothing more. Is that fine to you?" You didn't look at him directly, but from the corner of your eye you saw him nodding. "Great. Thank you." With that, you walked to the door to leave your office. Just as one of your feet entered the corridor, you heard a small voice behind you.
"I'm sorry."
You stopped in your tracks.
"I promise you, I didn't want to hurt you back then. I'm truly sorry."
A couple tears were escaping your eyes now. You were thankful you were faced away from Gojo.
"Well, you still did." Your voice was shaky. "And that apology comes 10 years too late."
