Once Upon a Mail-Order Mixup

Preface
You can order anything from a catalog these days. Cars, clothes, food, toys, houses... even wives. It is a common practice for rich men to order the perfect wife. There is a company who buys orphans from the government and trains them to be perfect wives. Once they are deemed fit they are placed in a catalog on the Internet where men bid on them and then each woman is sent to her new home. Nonetheless each man must sign a contract to keep the woman for a year; however, he cannot return her if he has damaged her in anyway or the company owner, the mistress, refuses to take the bride back. Each one of these women in the catalog are numbered and depending on their looks and level of ability to do certain tasks is what determines how much money each woman is sold for. The company gets away with this because the government turns a blind eye.

Ebony was taken off the streets at 14 years of age when they fighting ring was busted by the government. She was one of the fighters taken from the illegal under ground fighting ring and given to the company. Then as hard as the company tried to train the defiance and ill-temperament out of her they could not. Ebony was hotheaded and disrespectful to any authority especially the company because all she wanted was to be free. She would do anything to be free.

Xavier Frost is a commander in an elite government agency which "cleans up messes" from the other government agencies. He likes everything to be just so and he does not take disrespect at all. He has a temper and he has little patience.

What will happen when these two meet? Will they try to kill each other or will they try to understand what drives the other?
