(Branzy POV)

The bright light engulfed my vision. I raised my hand above my eyes to shield them. The rift grows larger and larger until it's about 3 times my size. The large portal is mesmerizing, although I do not know what it is. A silhouetted figure stands in the frame of the portal. The sight is oddly familiar...

The figure speaks, "Hello? What I'm seeing is completely dark... Branzy, are you there?" This person spoke my name, how they know it is a mystery. The voice feels familiar yet I can't quite place my finger on it. "It's me! Clown!" They say.

Who is Clown? And why are they here? The othermind's voice rings through my head, "Don't listen to this strange person. We don't know who they are." I nod in the darkness, unsure if Entropy can see it.

I reply to the voice, "Who are you...?"

The voice stutters, "I...what? Branzy? Is that you? It's me, Clown!"

"Who?" Is my simple one-worded answer.

"Branzy, that is you, right?" The voice asks.

"Uh- yea, my name is Branzy. How do you know my name?" I am very confused at this point.

The voice pauses and then speaks, "B-Branzy? Don't you remember me? You...don't remember your own boyfriend?"

I shake my head, "I don't know who you are. And as far as I can tell I've never met anyone else before, well besides Entropy, so how could I possibly have a boyfriend?"

The voice replies quietly, "Branzy...?"

Suddenly the same bright light consumes my vision, momentarily blinding me. The rift and figure disappear, leaving me confused. "Entropy, do you know what that was about?"

"No human, I don't know what that was about. A very interesting encounter. I-we haven't seen any other life here before." Entropy replies.

I sit there is silence and contemplate the interaction I just experienced.

(Clown POV)

A tear falls down my cheek. "What...?" The spell seemed to have worked and allowed me a few moments to speak with Branzy. He...he didn't recognize me? And he said something about entropy. Was that a name? I could've sworn I heard something slither around in the darkness. Could Entropy be a creature?

These thoughts swam around in my mind. Did he lose his memory? Maybe the endless darkness got to his head...Perhaps I should do some research? Branzy had a huge ton of ancient books in his room. Should I check that out?

"Growlf." A stern growling noise startles me. I wipe away my tears and turn around to look at the dragon.

"What do you want now, dragon?" I'm a bit annoyed at the fact I can't understand them. Who knew having a dragon would be so complicated to manage? I sigh before speaking, "I suppose I can't just keep calling you dragon though. You need a real name." The dragon tilts their head at me, either confused or intrigued. I start to list names, "You have fire right? Hmm, Ember? Uh, Blaze?"

"Grrrrrowlf!" The dragon growls at me again, the names I picked weren't appealing.

"Well you're stubborn as a rock. Wait, I've got it! Roxi? Is that a good name?" The dragon's eyes light up at the name. "Well it's settled then. Roxi it is."

Roxi continues to stare at me. What do they want? Suddenly their stomach makes a low growling sound. Oh, they're hungry! "Look, I can't feed you right now. I have to do research."

Roxi's eyes narrowed at me. A small flame escapes through their teeth. I glare right back at them. I'm locked in a staring competition with this beast. Lately they've been acting like more of a teenager. Perhaps that's how fast dragons grow? Roxi tripled in size already... how big will they get...? I shake my head to clear those thoughts. I keep getting distracted!
