"Hey, faggot." I looked up to see what asshole was bugging me today, but for the first time, it wasn't me. I felt revealed, but then felt bad for the girl a few lockers down from me who just got shoved from behind. Her books fell out of her hands, and by instinct, I ran over to her and helped her pick up the books. She seemed surprised to see someone actually treating her well and looked up at with tears in her eyes. She had a small little smile that made me smile.

"Thanks," she whispered before walking away to her next class.

I smiled, then went back to my locker to get my books for third period, English. I made my way to the classroom, thinking about that girl. It was only a few days into the school year, so that explains why I've never seen her before. She was either new this year, or a freshmen, where as I was a Jr.

I tried to focus on what my teacher, Miss Clarke, was saying, but caught myself thinking about that girl. She was gorgeous-or at least to me. She had black, long-ish hair, with bangs and a dramatic fringe that kind of reminded me of my hair. She also had gorgeous green eyes, spider bites, and an overall gorgeous face.

Fourth period was lunch. I gathered my stuff, waved bye to my teacher, and went back to my locker to put it away.

"Get out of my way, bitch." I turned around to see a guy push the girl I saw earlier.

"Whore," some girl mumbled.

"Can't you guys just leave her alone?" I snapped at them.

"Stay out of this, fag!" the girl snapped.

The girl I had seen before looked terrified.

"Oh, please. You don't need to fucking cry about it," the girl said.

"Yeah, I mean really? You're just trying to get Madison in trouble," she guy said. I guessed Madison was the girl that was being a total dick.

The other girl just shook her head and ran away. I saw her run through the halls and towards the bathroom. I tried to run after her, but she had already gotten in the bathroom. I could hear her crying from outside the door. I waited there, hoping she would come out soon.

I didn't notice at first, but the halls had emptied out.

"Hey!" I saw the principal walk towards me. "You aren't supposed to be here. Go to lunch!"

I sighed and left the hall, going towards the quad when I heard footsteps behind me. I looked back to see it was that girl.

"Hi," I said to her. She looked up and shyly waved. "Are you alright?" She just nodded and quickly walked away.

I sighed. Maybe I would try to talk to her the next day.
