After our night together at the club, Noah and I found ourselves in an unfamiliar situation. We shared the same group of friends, which meant that we would now be seeing each other more often than we had originally planned.
Our first encounter after the night at the club was at a party together. As Noah and I found ourselves surrounded by her friends, we could feel the tension between us heavy in the air.
Awkwardly, I tried to make small talk while trying to hide my feelings. But the atmosphere was tense, and it was obvious that we were both uncomfortable in this unexpected situation.
Over the course of the evening, we accidentally avoided each other several times, which led to awkward moments of touching or awkwardly avoiding each other.
As the party drew to a close and the friends began to say their goodbyes, Noah and I felt a mixture of relief and embarrassment. We hadn't expected their awkward encounter to be so difficult, and we wondered how they were going to handle this new dynamic.
When we finally said goodbye and made our way home, I knew I had to get past these awkward moments if I ever wanted a chance at a real relationship.
