Playing in the Rain

It was a couple weeks ago when Keefe asked me out on a "date" it would have been earlier but we kept on getting busy with a lot of homework, so it was postponed. And to be honest again, I really wanted to look good, I gave up trying to push my feelings for him a while ago, I accepted it and it's changed me, I actually care about how I look now. I mean, I did before, but now I'm actually using more than mascara for my makeup, and I'm actually thinking about what to wear. For once I choose a cropped white tank top, I hate light colored clothing, but I actually look the best in them, so I had to work past the pain. I pair it with a pair of baggy ripped jeans, and above my shirt I wore my rainbow lips shirt, and I wore a black belt with my pants. I even resorted to Vertina for makeup advice, she told me to put a brown and red ombre eyeshadow and a reddish pinkish lipstick and not gonna lie, I looked good, like, really good. I wear my hair down in wavy curls and I wore my crown necklace, and for once can't wait until Sophie sees me, she's never seen me in anything except a hoodie.

I walk down to see how Sophie reacts and all she can do gasp and cry joyful tears.

"You're finally wearing something that's not a hoodie, I don't care if you don't like these," she says which confuses me until she hugs me, and I let her be for three seconds before I push her off. I think I'm softening up, in the past I would have pushed her off immediately and be running off gagging, or maybe it's because for once I'm actually happy. "What's the occasion?" She asks wiggling her eyebrows as if she already knows.

"I'm going to the movies with Keefe, as friends," I add when she goes ooooooh.

"What movie? Is it a romance?" She asks smirking.

"What? NO! Don't even go there Sophie, we're watching a fantasy movie called Damsel, it's supposed to be really good, so we went with this. Anyways I have to go if I don't want to be late." I say walking off.

"SINCE WHEN DID YOU CARE ABOUT BEING LATE?!?!?!" Sophie yells after me but I ignore her knowing what she was thinking. I head to the crystal tree and say The Vacker Movies, and yes it's ironic that the family that has a son that I don't entirely like owns what place I'm going to but it's the best movie place we could find.

The building comes into view, and I see Keefe sitting on the front steps. He's wearing a white T - shirt and dark jeans which surprises me because I didn't know he had human clothes.

"Before you ask, you aren't the only person who sneaks off to the Forbidden Cities," he says with a mischievous grin.

"You surprise me every time I see you, let's just go see the movie."

"Let's go m'lady," he says extending his arm, and I take it.

"Of course, Lord Hunkyhair, it would be my pleasure," and we walk into the theatre, buy some mallowmelt and custard bursts and head to our seats. "Do you think we'll enjoy the movie, Lord Hunkyhair?" I ask.

"I would think so, I at least think you would, it's all about the princess being the hero of the story, not the prince. Ooh, it's starting!" He says as the lights turn off.

                                                                                    ~_~

All I can think about is Y/n she doesn't realize it yet, but I've been staring at her throughout the entire movie, and yes, I do realize that's a little creepy but I'm literally in love with the woman next to me, I can't help it. She finally looks at me and asks why I'm looking at her.

"Do I have a mallowmelt mustache?" She asks trying to spot it.

"No but you do have a bit of custard burst on your chin, I've got it," I find a napkin and wipe it off.

                                                                                    ~_~

Keefe wipes the custard burst off my chin and I sure am glad it's dark because I bet all my money that I'm redder than a baboon's butt. "Thanks," I say and turn back to the screen partly mortified. I'm hoping that my face has calmed down when the movie ends and we head out, as we leave the theatre, we see that it's raining, and we immediately run outside and start playing in the rain as if we've been planning it. My face is still red but now it's partially from running around, I think I know what Sophie feels like when Ritz chases her, and they end up laughing because the same thing was happening now.

"I wish this moment could last forever," I mumble thinking Keefe can't hear me, but he does.
"So do I, but I think we should home, so our parents don't worry." Keefe looks down as he reaches for his home crystal.

"You know, I was thinking that you could come over, for a sleepover. I would invite everyone, Tam, Linh, Marella, Biana, Dex, Sophie, and I guess Ritz for Sophie's sake, I'm not a monster." I added that last part quickly.

"Sounds like a plan; I just have to get a few things from my house first." Keefe says his face brightening. "Call me when you're ready," and just like that he leaps away, while I am yelling at myself. Like, why the hell did I invite him over, I doubt that this will end up well at all.

I hope ya'll enjoyed this chapter, I'm writing it with a foggy mind and a tired body so it might not be the best. And yes I do know this is shorter than usual, but I just didn't know what else to put.
