Lixen pov
"LIXEN AKIN! WE'RE LATE!" I jolted up to the startling sound of my sisters yell. I glance at the time.
"It's 6:02 sis... lemme sleeeeep" I uttered tiredly as I lay down on my bed.
"No. It's TWO PASSED SEVEN!" Lilian yelled. Wait.. two passed seven... We're going to be late! I hop out of bed, throwing on a random outfit. I grab my wallet, phone and keys as I slip on my shoes. We both walk out the door and race to the cafeteria for breakfast. When we finally get breakfast and settle at a table. I prop my head up trying not to fall asleep. My brown hair is such a mess and getting in the way of my vision. I look down at the outfit I put on. Just a black oversized sweater and blue jeans. Nothing special unlike my try-hard sister. She decided to curl her waist-length brown hair, with her blue ripped jeans and a white crop top with blue butterflies on it. Her Nike Air Force 1's reflect the sun.
"Where's your girlfriend at lils?" I mocked.
"First, she's not my girlfriend! And second, no clue" she responded with a slight blush on her face.
"Then a crush? I mean your face lights up red everytime you see her. Not to mention you asked her for help with archery just to spend time with her." I picked at her and laughed. Her face couldn't help but turn red. I swear she's more of a disaster than me.
"What's up losers!?" Amy yelled sitting next to Lilian, putting an arm around her. God, Amy can be annoying. With her blue ripped jeans, black baggy shirt, and a blue jean hat with a flannel tied around her waist. Her long orange hair and orange eyes.
"Greattttt you're here" I mocked.
"Excuse you, I'm amazing! Lils thinks I am! So it must be true" she protested.
" Debatable" I responded.
"what! I'm always right" Lilian claimed. I shrug my shoulders. I look down at my breakfast and push it to Amy. Amy smiled and immediately started eating. I swear that girl eats and eats and never gains any weight. It's so dumb. I look over to see him there. I look down immediately. I thought he moved. I felt him walking over and I took a deep breath.
"Hey uh im new can I have some help" he asked in his soft but raspy voice that could send chills down your spine.
"sure! What's your name?" Amy asked, happy to help.
"Ah, I'm Alvah Than, and y'all are?" He asked, looking at me who hasn't even looked up at him.
"I'm Amy and this is my friend Lilian and her twin brother Lixen," she introduced. I look up at him with a slight but weak smile.
"Wait- Lixen?!" He jumped back in shock.
"yeah.." I reply quietly.
"Oh my heavens! It's been so long! I've missed you so much!" He hugged me tightly. I smiled as he embraced me. I've missed him. He used to be my best friend but when we got to high school he was forced to move. As we let go of each other I see my sister giving us a look. I roll my eyes at her and look at him. His raven black hair falls over his eyes slightly. His ocean blue eyes sparkled in the daylight. He had black ripped pants, black short-sleeved button-up open shirt with a white undershirt. The sun's light reflected off his silver necklaces. I found myself starting to blush. I immediately shake it off as Lilian broke the silence.
"Are you lovebirds done yet?" She smirked at her snarky remark.
"yeah. We're done" I rolled my eyes. He sat next to me. God. It's been so long.
