Crescent Peak, Colorado isn't a well known area in the state. Mostly because its residents keep to themselves in the city that they have built. The residents of the city are all members of different wolf shifter packs that had formed an alliance and moved into the area. However the pack that called the area home the longest is the Blue Moon Pack led by Alpha Damian Bane and his Luna Reyna Conan. His pack has called Crescent Peak home for a long time and most of the companies, diners, and homes were built by the members of his pack which was something that he was very proud of. Aside from Damian there was also his son Jackson who was currently playing in the backyard of the packhouse with his best friend Marina Nightshade. Unlike his father, Jack has short jet black hair, silver eyes, and tan skin which was more reminiscent of his mother than his father. He is the only child of Damian Bane and Reyna Conan thus being heir to the Blue Moon Pack as their next alpha. It was a role that Jack was excited to have but at the same time knew that he wanted to be as ready as he could be when that time came. For the time being he was wanting to enjoy the freedom that he had to do what he wanted
In a different part of the backyard to the packhouse was Jack's best friend Marina Nightshade who was hiding behind one of the trees. Marina is the only child of Blue Moon pack members Reid Nightshade and Luana Yue. Unlike both of her parents, Marina has long silver hair, blue eyes, and pale ivory skin which caused some people to question if she really was her parents daughter until proven that she is. Even though she doesn't hold an actual high rank in her pack it didn't stop her from being around those who did and befriending them. When it comes to Jack, Marina has known him since they were both really young and they have basically grown up alongside each other since her parents were always helping his parents out with stuff for the pack. Due to that the two of them usually always ended up playing in the backyard of the packhouse together quite a bit.
"Found you." Jack said as he piqued around the tree to where Marina was hiding and laughed some when she jumped from getting startled.
"It's not funny Jack!" Marina shouted as she stomped her foot and puffed out her cheeks due to being irritated with Jack laughing at the fact that he had managed to startle her.
"It's a little funny. Especially since you seemed so deep in thought when I found you." Jack stated as he moved to stand in front of Marina.
"I mean I was a little bit but it's nothing." Marina said to reassure him as she looked at him.
"What's going on?" Jack asked as he raised an eyebrow curious as to what she was thinking about.
"It's nothing. I promise." Marina replied as she gave a slightly strained smile.
Jack couldn't help but be curious and worried about what Marina was trying to hide from him but at the same time he didn't want to push her for info since he knew that she would tell him when she was ready. The two of them continued to play together for a bit longer before both of their parents called for them from the backdoor. This caused the both of them to head over to their mothers and said goodbye to each other. Marina followed her mother out to her father's red Bronco that was in the driveway of the packhouse. As she climbed into the backseat, she couldn't help but think about what had been on her mind since the conversation that she had overheard her parents having before they had come over to the packhouse. Once they pulled out of the driveway and started to head home, Marina looked out the window at everything that passed by while they drove.

Marina
As I watched the houses eventually fade off into forest I couldn't help but frown as I became able to see my reflection in the window. Normally I don't mind living in the forest a bit away from the rest of the pack but at the same time now it seemed like the most lonely place in the world with the info that my parents had been talking about before we went to see Alpha Damian and Luna Reyna today. Learning that we were going to be moving all for the apparent reason of keeping me safe and from being used as a bargaining chip among packs outside of Crescent Peak for some reason. I honestly didn't like the idea of doing so since it meant we would be moving away from the place I've known all my life and even though I'm only 10 such a move was definitely going to change my life drastically. Being pulled away from my school, my friends, and the one person who has always been there for me was something I wasn't wanting. I remained quiet for most of the trip home. Tuning out my parents to be alone with my thoughts and only speaking up once we got home to let them know I'd be in my room before getting out of my dad's truck.
