The word "destiny" has a profound impact on our lives. It is the idea that there is a predetermined course of events and that certain things are meant to happen to us. For me, destiny played a significant role in my life when it came unexpectedly, catching me off guard. I never anticipated it or planned for it, but it came at a time when I needed it the most.On the 23rd of September in the year 2023, our school arranged for our volleyball team to participate in an intense tournament held in the beautiful city of Narora. As fate would have it, I found myself stepping in as a substitute player for the team. The experience turned out to be more than just a chance to play my favourite sport. It was an opportunity to learn new skills and techniques that have made me a better player. But what stood out the most was meeting a person who is truly one of a kind - genuine and beautiful both inside and out.On the day of the school's march past, our physical education teacher drew our attention towards a particular teacher. Amidst the sea of people wearing regular sports gear, she stood out, shining differently from the rest. Her allure was undeniable, and little did I know that her presence in my life would bring about a significant transformation in me. I couldn't have imagined that I would become a better version of myself just by being around her. Her mere presence was enough to bring about a sense of calm and clarity in my life. I'm grateful for her and how she has changed me for the better. Ever since that day, my curiosity has been piqued about this individual who exerts a seemingly irresistible pull on me, like a magnet drawing in metal. I find myself eager to uncover more about her and unravel the mystery of our connection. As someone who used to stay up late into the night, I was given the chance to observe her during the match nights. I noticed that despite the late hour, she was often on the phone, chatting away with someone. Seeing her smile and laugh while engaged in conversation was a beautiful sight to behold. Even in the darkness, she shone brighter than the moon with her captivating charm and infectious energy. As I stood in the stands watching the volleyball match, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride every time my school's team scored a point. However, there was another team that I secretly supported just as much – my new favourite person's school. Little did I know that fate had in store an unexpected twist for me. In the final round, my school and hers were competing against each other for the third prize. I was torn between my loyalty to my school and my admiration for her team. As the match progressed, my heart was pounding with every point scored. But, despite the high stakes, I kept giving her a big smile after every set. Even though my school lost the match, I couldn't help but feel happy for her. Seeing her jubilant smile made my tears dry up, and I knew in my heart that she deserved the win. As the prize was being presented to her, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and happiness. It was a momentous occasion for her, and I was the only one in my team who was genuinely happy for her. Yet, despite my joy, I couldn't shake off a nagging feeling that I should keep this news to myself and not get too excited about it. Perhaps, it was my foolish heart that urged me to be cautious and wait before telling others about this lovely person who deserved all the recognition and praise.
