I can love you - (Lorenzo x Reader)

Arrival

Scorching hot degrees and humid weather, it was that time of the year... summer. You were at home trying to stay cool by trying various methods. While you were trying to cool off, you heard your phone buzz and you went to go check it out. You got a message from your friend Rian. You read the message and she asked if you had wanted to hang out with her today. You had agreed to do so. She told you to pack your bags because you guys were going on an adventure. You looked for the essentials like a flashlight, insect repellent, batteries, etc. You wore a tank top and some cute flared jeans. After packing up, you went to meet up with Rian at her place.

30 minutes later,

You got to Rian's place and you knocked on her door.

She opened the door and her expression widened. 

"Hey y/n!" she then pulled you into a hug and you hugged her back.

"Great to see you Rian, should we get going?" you suggested.

"Yeah, I have my stuff packed up" she says while showing you her backpack full of supplies.

"Uhm how are we gonna arrive there" you questioned her.

"Oh my friend is gonna pick us up from my house" Rian told you and you saw her wave at a car.

"Over here! she shouted.

She waved her hand signaling the driver to come over to her direction. The jeep then stops pulling into Rian's driveway. The driver pulls down the window. He then spoke.

"You ready Rian" he gives the girl a smirk.

"Yes.. Now open the damn door because my bags are heavy.

He listened to her command and he pulled the car door letting the girl place her heavy  backpack in the car.

"Seems like you've brought a friend with you" he spoke once again.

He seemed like a very friendly guy just from the tone and the vibe he gave off.

"Oh yeah I forgot to introduce her to you! Y/n, this is Lorenzo, and Lorenzo this is Y/n" the girl said enthusiastically.

He extended his hand out signaling you to shake his hand.

"Nice to meet you y/n, im Lorenzo" He gave you a warm smile.

You shook his hand in return and introduced yourself to him.

"Nice to meet you too, Lorenzo" you returned a warm smile at him.

He looked into your eyes for a few seconds before breaking eye contact.

"Damn Rian, I didn't know your friend was pretty," he complimented.

Rian chuckled.

"See.. I knew you would like her, now let's get going!" Rian requested.

Then you opened the side door of the jeep and you saw Rians other friends next to you.

"Y/n right" the guy with locks asked.

"Yeah I'm Y/n, what's your name?" you asked him.

"The names trace by the way, nice to meet you" he introduced himself.

"This is Era by the way" he said pointing to the girl next to him. She seemed more reserved and on the quieter side.

"Hey Im Era" she said softly.

"Im Y/n" you introduced yourself to the girl.

As you guys were trying to settle yourselves in the car, Lorenzo asked for any song recommendations to play on the radio. Rian requested some rock songs and Lorenzo accepted her request. He then spoke.

"Rian, why do you like listening to this stuff?" Lorenzo asked.

"Well why don't you listen to this stuff" she said back.

Lorenzo was silent. His mouth was shut.

The atmosphere in the drive was dead silent

30 minutes passed by and Lorenzo drove to the destination.
